The University of Texas at Austin's office supply agreement (currently with Office Depot) will be
undergoing some changes in the coming months.

UT Austin purchases office supply products from Office Depot via a national contract that Office Depot
has with U. S. Communities, a group purchasing organization (GPO). GPO's aggregate the buying
capacity of multiple organizations around the world to get the lowest pricing per commodity when
negotiating with potential suppliers.

U.S. Communities' current office supplies contract (with Office Depot) expires on December 31, 2010,
and they have issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to select the next qualified vendor of office supplies
for their customer base. On Friday, July 16, 2010, Office Depot notified UT Austin management that it
had decided not to submit a proposal to U.S. Communities in response to this RFP.

We are currently considering several options for purchasing office supplies beyond December 31, 2010.
U. S. Communities expects to award the new contract by August 15, 2010, so this will be one option,
although it will not be with Office Depot. In addition to U.S. Communities, there are several other GPO's
with office supplies contracts that we could participate in. The university could also opt to contract with
an office supply company directly.

Purchasing will be working over the upcoming weeks to evaluate all of our options and select one that
will provide a competitively priced, high value-added office supply solution for our campus. This
solution will include an ordering process that will allow our users to meet their office supply needs
without disruption.

At this time you should continue to acquire your office supplies from Office Depot via US. Communities
as you have been doing so. We will keep the University community informed of our progress.
