U11 White vs Green
Some great teamw ork again by White, w ith

U13 White vs Green
Another great effort by everybody! The
absence of three team members gave
some of our players the chance to test
their skills in new positions again, and
everybody has to be congratulated on
keeping those positions even under the
most demanding pressure by our
opponents. We saw promising
passing betw een midfield, w ings and
forw ard line and great determination by
the defenders. Good job by Brodie Birse in
a goal that w as under constant attack. We
congratulate New tow n Green on a 4: 0
w in.
U13 Maroon vs Torquay 7-0
Another sunny morning saw the game off
to a good start for Maroon w ith great
tackling and attacking by Ryan Kew ley,
Oliver Clarke and Patrick Matthew s in the
forw ard line, w ith back up from Lucas
Arnold and Callum Dew ar. Torquay had
many good attempts to try and push the
ball through a solid midfield defence by
Perri-Giorgia Espinoza w ith support from
Brielle Cook and Kathy Tan and defending
the goals by Beth Gray-MacIntosh and
Todd Arnold on the back line. The Torquay
goalie had some fantastic saves, one of
w hich earned her a group hug from team-
mates to Maroons’ surprise! Tom Midgley
w as alw ays in perfect position to find the
back of the box, finishing w ith 3 goals.
Other goal scorers w ere Patrick 2, Oliver 1
and Ryan 1. Thanks to Darren Matthew s
for coaching on the day as fill in for Kim
Clarke. Well done Maroon! And it’s great to
see a new team in the competition.
Women White vs Geelong, 0-3
New tow n started the game w ell, having a
good proportion of the play in the first half.
But Geelong had the advantage of
numbers and strength and scored the first
