(Columbia - MO) Listen, learn and see
history as it comes alive at the Heritage
Festival. Listen to the music of past
generations. Learn about Lewis and Clark as
you stroll through a replica of a camp site
and see an extensive exhibit of the expedition
and artifacts on display. See artisans and
tradesmen dressed in 19th century attire that
are demonstrating their trades and selling
their wares. Visit an 1859 town with
shopkeepers, townspeople and a medicine
show. See cowboys with their chuck wagons.
A large contemporary craft area will also be
featured.


                                                            The Heritage Festival brings yesterday and today together.


                                                          Saturday evening Ghost Stories are
                                                          sponsored by the Mid-Missouri Organization
                                                          of Storytellers. Children will enjoy numerous
                                                          activities in the Fun for Young‘uns Area and
                                                          the entire family can ride on a hayride. Tour
                                                          the Historic Maplewood Home and the
                                                          Walter’s Boone County Historical Museum.
    The hayride draws a crowd at the Heritage Festival.
                                                          Great food and a beautiful park setting will
                                                          make the Heritage Festival a family tradition.
Listen to a wide range of entertainment to
include music, dancing and storytelling.
