E-UPDATES is an electronic newsletter sponsored and operated by the Student Loan Guarantee Foundation of Arkansas (SLGFA) to provide
program information to schools and lenders participating in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP).

1. SLGFA To Honor Former Senator David H. Pryor at Open House in October
   The Student Loan Guarantee Foundation of Arkansas cordially invites you to attend the Open House of our
   new facilities located at 10 Turtle Creek Lane in Little Rock, Arkansas on Thursday, October 4, 2007.
   Former Senator David H. Pryor will be the honored guest. SLGFA will pay tribute to Senator Pryor for his
   contributions to the student loan industry, and guests may tour the building following the presentations
   and remarks. Additionally, Governor Mike Beebe will be present at the Open House and will share
   comments concerning Pryor’s contribution to higher education and the State of Arkansas. Please R.S.V.P. to

2. Reminder About New Federal Consolidation Loan Application and Promissory Note
   SLGFA would like to remind lenders that the new Federal Consolidation Loan Application and Promissory
   Note is the only application that may be provided to borrowers beginning October 1, 2007. Lenders may,
   however, process the prior version of the Federal Consolidation Loan Application and Promissory Note if
   that form is received by the lender after October 1, 2007. The new loan application and promissory note
   may be found on SLGFA’s website. Lenders may refer to FP-07-03 for more information concerning the new

3. Career Opportunity at SLGFA
   There is currently an open position at the Student Loan Guarantee Foundation of Arkansas. The opening is
   for a Default Prevention Counselor in the Default Prevention Department. Detailed information about

4. Delays in Major Database Changes Expected
   In order to meet deadlines during peak processing, SLGFA will implement a period during which delays will
   occur when major changes are requested to be made to school and lender setup profiles on the guarantor
   database. The period, during which setup changes may be delayed, will begin with change requests
   submitted on or after July 1, and continue through September 30. Click on the following link for more
