JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Online Ad Sales Manager Department: Marketing Reporting To: Head of Online Marketing Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire Overview: Weight Watchers International has been helping people lose weight worldwide for over 40 years and from humble beginnings, has become a leading global branded consumer company with operations across the USA, the UK, Continental Europe, China, Australia and New Zealand. Promoting a healthy lifestyle and sensible weight loss through education and group support, in excess of a 40 million members have followed the Weight Watchers programme across the globe. We are the most recognisable weight management organisation in the UK, running over 6,000 weight loss meetings per week as well as boasting an extensive licensed products range sold at retail, on-line services and our own magazine. In addition to the traditional Weightwatchers meetings, Weightwatchers Online launched in the UK in 2006 and has fast been growing as a subscription site where customers can follow the plan completely online. More and more customers are using weightwatchers.co.uk to follow the plan completely online, apply for a monthly pass our most popular payment method for meetings as well as search for meeting finder locations. The site is split between the visitor and subscriber site and is content rich with unique visitors increasing year on year. Responsibilities: There is a significant opportunity to grow the advertising revenue that is available across Weightwatchers.co.uk (WW.co.uk) in the UK by targeting brands (with weightwatchers synergy) in a creative and fully optimised way. This means finding creative solutions for advertisers, understanding the site content and maximising all seasonal content to increase and optimise our revenue for weightwatchers.co.uk. Key Accountabilities: Responsible for managing the end to end process of premium brand Advertising sales opportunities for ww.co.uk Liaise weekly with incumbent agency to deliver full ad serving solutions for all new business Support and development of existing customers who have advertised across our site e.g. Weightwatchers licensees as well as existing 3rd parties Prepared to manage direct client relationships and/or manage new business via agencies. Need for excellent negotiation and influencing skills to upsell where possible Required to exchange and knowledge share with the core markets - USA and the UK Skills and Behaviours: At least 3-5 years professional experience in on-line Sales with a good in depth knowledge of the industry Strong knowledge of digital terminology and understanding of what digital media can be used to maximise response for customers Experience and proven success in the management of sales agencies or client direct Extensive knowledge in the ad management systems (DART) desirably Excellent negotiation skills Strong communication skills and goal-orientated Gravitas and excellent relationship building skills Teamworker, prepared to work closely with the Weightwatchers content and online team. Proactive with strong self initiative.
