Keeble v. Hickeringill Facts: (P) has a duck decoy pond in which he uses his art to lure in ducks and then capture them and trade them for profit. (D) went to the head of the pond and fired gun shots as to scare the ducks away. He did this a second time and the ducks did not return. Rules: A person cannot interfere with someone’s right to capture by the deliberate obstruction of a capture of some sort Issues: Did (D) interfere with (P) trade or possibility of making a profit by obstructing (P) right to capture? Did (D) interfere with (P) profession by violating his right to capture Reasoning: Because (D) obstructed or acted maliciously toward (P) profession by scaring the ducks and not luring them somewhere else, he was found liable
