Mobile Banking Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) and User Guide
What is Mobile Banking?
Mobile Banking is a solution that enables members to perform Banking transactions using their mobile devices
(i.e. cell phones, smart phones, iPhone and Android and PDA's). This service is available to all Online Banking
users and provides the following features:

 • View Balances
 • Transfer Funds
 • View Account History
 • ATM and Shared Branch Locations (available through WAP, iPhone & Android)
   Bill Payer will be future enhancement to Mobile Banking


What's the difference between Firefighters Community Credit Union (FFCCU) Mobile Banking and
FFCCU Online Banking?
Mobile Banking is a version of Online Banking made specifically for your mobile device.

What Mobile Banking channels are available?
Members can access their accounts through text messages on their cell phones (SMS), through the Internet
browser (WAP) and with a smart phone by downloading an application (App). The User Guide for Mobile
Banking Application can be found at: https://www.mfmnow.com/docs/. We offer the following Mobile Banking
channels:

   SMS = Text messaging
   WAP = Web browser
   MFM* APP = Download                      * Mobile Finance Manager

Application is on our Mobile website. iPhone and Android users can download the App from the iTunes or
Marketplace store(s), keyword FFCCU. The App is free.

Are there fees to use FFCCU Mobile Banking?
FFCCU doesn't charge any fees for Mobile Banking. However, you should contact your wireless service
provider to see if any connectivity or usage rates apply.

What are the eligibility requirements for FFCCU Mobile Banking?
To be eligible for FFCCU Mobile Banking, you must meet the following requirements:

 • Have a valid FFCCU account
 • Be enrolled in Online Banking (Please call 216-621-4644 or 800-621-4644 to enroll)
 • Provide a valid email address
 • Be able to access the Internet or have SMS Text Messaging from your mobile phone
 • Have a mobile phone that supports Mobile Banking

Can I use the same Username and Password for my FFCCU Mobile Banking that I use for Online
Banking?
Yes, you must use the same Username and Password.

What if I enter the wrong Username or Password?
Your FFCCU Mobile Banking will be locked after the 5th (fifth) invalid Username or Password entry. To reset
your account, please call us 216-621-4644 or 800-621-4644 during business hours.

Can my FFCCU Mobile Banking session time out?
Yes, your FFCCU Mobile Banking session will time out after 10 (ten) minutes of inactivity.
Which accounts are available through my FFCCU Mobile Banking?
Your checking, savings, IRA, CD, Club, Money Market and Loan account(s) are available using your FFCCU
Mobile Banking.

How current is my balance information?
Your balance information is in real time.

What information about my accounts shows up on FFCCU Mobile Banking?
The account name (e.g. checking), account balances and transaction history display in Mobile Banking.
Account numbers are all masked.

What can I do with my FFCCU Mobile Banking?
Using your FFCCU Mobile Banking, you can:
 • View Account balances - Your account Information screen displays your balance information
 • Transfer money - You can transfer funds between eligible FFCCU accounts.
 • View Account transaction history - You can view recent transactions from your mobile device.
    SMS = last 5 transactions, WAP=last 30 days, APP=last 7 days with additional 30 days available
 • Bank virtually anywhere - You can find Branches, ATM and Shared Branch locations.

Can my FFCCU Mobile Banking Account be accessed without a Username and Password?
No. For your own safety, you need to use your FFCCU Online Username and Password each time you access
your FFCCU Mobile Banking using an internet connection (WAP and APP).

Is FFCCU Mobile Banking as secure as Online Banking?
FFCCU Mobile Banking is secure and offers the same security features and protection as Online Banking,
including encryption.

Mobile Banking users are protected by:
 • Firewall systems and intrusion detection software
 • Protected by industry standard 128 bit SSL encryption
 • Internationally recognized security standards and industry best practices
 • Profile and Password protected with multi-factor security

Can someone intercept my FFCCU Mobile Banking transactions?
Rest assured that your FFCCU Mobile Banking transactions are secure. Our encryption technology
safeguards Internet traffic for secure Web applications and protects your information as it travels from your
mobile device to FFCCU.

How does Mobile Banking handle security?
Mobile Banking communicates with our server using Online Financial Exchange protocol. This is the same
system that is used by Intuit's Quicken® or Microsoft Money®. Mobile Banking uses Multi-Factor
Authentication (MFA) to help prevent against unauthorized account access, and all communication is
encrypted by industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption.

How can I be sure my FFCCU Mobile Banking is secure if someone steals my mobile device?
We require users to enter a valid Username and Password to access the secure FFCCU Online site. If your
mobile device is stolen, they won't be able to access the FFCCU Online secure site without your Username
and Password. However, you should also contact your wireless service provider to have your device
deactivated and contact FFCCU to change your Password and block the device in our system. Call 216-621-
4644 or 800-621-4644 if you have any questions.


Supported Phones Types:
MFM is supported on Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, High Tech Computer, HP, LG, Motorola, Nextel, Nokia, Palm, Pantech, Samsung,
Sanyo, SonyEricsson, Android and most phones that support Java Applications.
SMS is available on AT&T, Alltel, Bluegrass Cellular, Boost Mobile CDMA, Boost Mobile iDEN, Cellcom, Cellular South, Centennial,
Cincinnati Bell, Dobson Cellular Systems, ECIT, East Kentucky Network, Immix Wireless, NTELOS, Nextel Communications, Rural
Cellular Corp., Sprint PCS Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile USA and West Central Wireless.
SMS will not work on Revol Wireless.

SMS TEXT: How to Start

In order to access Mobile Banking, you'll need to be enrolled in FFCCU Online Banking (please call 216-621-
4644 or 800-621-4644 to set up your Online Banking through FFCCU) with a valid Username and Password
and a wireless device with text messaging enabled.

1. Enter the FFCCU Mobile website http://m.ffcommunity.com from a PC if phone/device does not have
   internet access
2. Click Account Access
3. Login using your Online Banking Username and Password
4. User will receive an Authentication email with a One-Time PIN
5. Login with Username and Password with the One-Time PIN added to the END of the Password
   (example: password1234)
6. Click SMS Settings
7. Click Add a Mobile Number
8. Agree to the Terms and Conditions
9. Enter your mobile number (you can add up to three mobile phone numbers)
10. User will receive a Confirmation text message that you must reply to with a "Y"
11. User will receive a Verification text message with a verification code
12. Enter verification code at mobile website
13. User will receive a Welcome text message
14. User will receive an Enrollment Complete text message
15. User can now begin Mobile Banking using the Text Message Commands below:

SMS Mobile Banking allows you to retrieve your account balances and recent account history by sending an
SMS to 41411. Once your mobile phone is enrolled, you may send the following commands:

  • FFCCU B to retrieve all account balances
  • FFCCU H to retrieve the five most recent transactions for all accounts
  • FFCCU H acct to retrieve the five most recent trans-actions for a specific account
    (e.g. FFCCU H S0001)
  • FFCCU X source destination amount to transfer dollar amount from source acct. to destination acct
   (e.g. FFCCU X S0001 L0001 50.00)
  • FFCCU HELP to retrieve list of available commands
  • FFCCU QUIT to deactivate SMS Mobile Banking

The commands are not case sensitive. For example, you can use 'ffccu b' as well as 'FFCCU B' to retrieve
balances. Note: Standard text messaging fees from your phone carrier may apply.


WAP (Web Browser): How to Start
In order to access Mobile Banking, you'll need to be enrolled in FFCCU Online Banking (please call 216-621-
4644 or 800-621-4644 to set up your Online Banking through FFCCU) with a valid Username and Password
and a mobile device with an Internet connection.

1. Enter the FFCCU Mobile Banking URL http://m.ffcommunity.com into the browser of your Internet
   enabled wireless device
2. Click Access Account
3. Login using your Online Banking Username and Password. By logging in, you agree to accept the
   terms of this Agreement
4. User will receive an authentication email with a One-Time PIN
5. Login again with Username and Password with the One-Time PIN added to the END of the Password
   (example: password1234)
6. User will receive a confirmation email that registration was successful
7. To End Session, click on Logout


Note: If you delete cookies or your cache gets cleared, you must re-enroll into Mobile Banking at http://m.ffcommunity.com.
MFM APP (download through Mobile Device): How to Start
You can access Mobile Banking through a mobile device with an internet connection. You'll need to have
FFCCU Online Banking (please call 216-621-4644 or 800-621-4644 to set up your Online Banking through
FFCCU) with a valid Username and Password.

1. Enter the FFCCU Mobile Banking URL http://m.ffcommunity.com, into the browser of your Internet enabled
   wireless device
2. Click Access Account
3. Click on "For a richer experience, download MFM to your phone"
4. Click Continue from the Welcome Page
5. Agree to the Terms and Conditions
6. An activation ID code will appear with a Download button. Please write down the activation ID.
7. Open APP (the APP may be located under Games or Applications)
8. Enter Activation ID
9. Enter Username and Password
10. User will receive an authentication email with a One-Time PIN
11. Login with Username and Password with the One-Time PIN added to the END of the Password
    (example: password1234)
12. User will receive a confirmation email
13. Click on Banking for account information
14. To End Session, click on Logout

iPhone & Android APPs can be downloaded through the iTunes or Marketplace Stores: How to Start
You can access the Mobile Banking App through your iPhone or Android by going to the iTunes store and
downloading the App to your phone, keyword FFCCU. The App is free.
