Exam Mechanics and Scope
•   The exam covers weeks 4, 5, 6, and 7, corresponding to lectures 4 – 7
and textbook chapters 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 (Sec. 1 – 3). See
syllabus for details and the list of sections covered.
•   There are 18 multiple choice questions on the exam. Any 16 of them
correct earns 100%.
•   Use default formula sheet at the back of the exam. It is the same as
the one posted on my web site under “common 2 review material”.
•   Bring your calculator, extra battries, and some #2 pencils for marking
the SCANTRON form
•   Mark answer choices on both the question booklet and the Scantron.
•   Do calculations on the exam paper under each question. If you need
more room, use the back of the test paper. You are expected to
show some work for most problems although it will not be graded.
•   Turn off cell phones, pagers, and any other communication devices
or noise makers.
•   Suggestion: first work the problems you know how to do, then come
back and finish the ones that are doubtful.
•   There is no penalty for guessing on the multiple choice questions.
