Repo/reversed repo with debt securities in SEK - Stock position

The report covers:
stock positions for repos/reversed repos towards foreign counterparties with debt securities, issued by
domestic parties in SEK. A repo is here a valid repo. Repos, regardless of issuer and currency, should also be
reported as loans on Form KA201 and Form KA202 (monetary financial institutions are exempt from KA201
and KA202).

Non-residents
A foreign counterparty is a physical person or legal entity with an address outside Sweden. Foreign branch
offices of Swedish companies are thus regarded as foreign. A domestic party is a physical person or legal
entity with an address in Sweden.

Issuer sectors

Trade is specified according to eight issuer sectors. The definitions for these are presented in a separate
appendix. Securities issued by foreign branches of Swedish companies are regarded as foreign.

Bonds
Bonds mainly include all long-term instruments with an original maturity longer than one year with a fixed or
variable rate of interest. Long-term index-linked bonds, zero-coupon bonds, deep discount loans, convertible
debt instruments, subordinated debentures, etc. are also included.

Money market instruments
Money market instruments mainly include all short-term instruments with an original maturity of one year or
less, such as bills and different kinds of certificates.

Repo positions
Repo positions should be reported at the pledged value and refer to the position on the last day of the month
reported. A repo is defined as deposits from foreign parties in SEK on presentation of Swedish debt
instruments. A reverse repo is defined as lending to foreign parties in SEK upon receipt of Swedish debt
instruments.
