Sharon Cooper, Ph.D. has over 21 years of experience working with at risk youth.
Sharon began her professional career with the Houston Police Department as a D.A.R.E.
State Train-the Trainer Officer for the State of Texas. She moved to the rank of
Lieutenant working in the Special Operations Department doing Crisis Intervention and
Hostage Negotiations.

After obtaining her Doctorate in Psychology Sharon started a non-profit organization
that matched mentors with children who had a parent who was incarcerated. The
organization rapidly grew and in July 2005 merged programs with Big Brother Big Sister

Sharon began volunteering with STANDUP FOR KIDS in 2004 as the Executive Director
of the Houston, Texas program.

Eddie Wang Rodriguez                                                  Member

Eddie Wang Rodriguez is a Principal in the law firm of Fish & Richardson, P.C. Practice
Group Leader of the Corporate and Securities Group. Practice focuses on a full range of
corporate and securities matters, including corporate formation, mergers and
acquisitions, venture financing, technology licensing, and general business counseling for
both public and private companies. Extensive experience with counseling public and
private companies in the life science, telecommunications, software, hardware, e-
commerce and information technology industries in a broad range of transactional
matters. Previously, a partner at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP.

Eddie received his Law School J.D. from Standford in 1994, where he was also the Editor-
in-Chief, Stanford Journal of International Law, and Articles Editor, Stanford Law and Policy
Review. Eddie was admitted to the bar in California.

Eddie was selected by San Diego Metropolitan as one of "40 of the brightest young
professionals, executives, entrepreneurs and civic leaders in San Diego County" under the
age of 40 in 2003.

Rick Frommeyer                                                      Chairman Elect

Rick has 18 years of professional experience including executive leadership roles in sales
and marketing at Dun & Bradstreet and Carlson Marketing Group, both organizations
being world leaders in their respective industries. Most recently, Rick was the Executive
Vice President - Sales and an executive committee member at Carlson
Marketing Group in Minneapolis, MN.

Prior to Carlson, he spent 15+ years at Dun & Bradstreet in various operations and senior
sales leadership positions, including leading D&B's Financial Services practice.

Rick has had a passion for helping at-risk and homeless youth for many years. He joined
STANDUP FOR KIDS in the Twin Cities as a leadership volunteer in April 2005. Rick and
his wife Sara currently reside in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ryan S. Flynn                                                       Member

Ryan is the Campaign Manager and Fundraising Chair of the Tan Nguyen for Congress
Campaign. Ryan joined Tan’s Campaign in November 2005 in hopes to help him win
California’s 47th Congressional Seat.

Prior to his work in politics, Ryan was a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch, where he
helped his clients achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Ryan was born and raised in Sacramento, California. He moved to San Diego, California
in 1998 to attend San Diego State University. In 2001, he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in

Ryan also volunteers with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego and is a member
of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. He currently resides in San Diego, California.

Clint Rodenfels                                                     Treasurer

Clint is a graduate student pursuing a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Texas State
University - San Marcos. This represents a career change for Clint brought about mainly
as a result of his experiences volunteering with STANDUP FOR KIDS. Prior to pursuing
his MSW, Clint was Division Director for Robert Half Technology in San Antonio,
Texas. The bulk of his professional experience stems from his almost 12-years with The
Capital Group Companies in Los Angeles, California where he was Assistant Vice
President responsible for desktop computer support. In addition to his technical support
and recruiting roles, Clint has worked as a technical writer, documenting items as
diverse as laser printers, video capture hardware, and satellite components. cHe is also a
published author of humorous stories.

Clint has long been involved in volunteer activities. An active member STANDUP FOR
KIDS since 2002, he served as Executive Director STANDUP FOR KIDS - Los Angeles in

2003-2004. In addition to his role with STANDUP FOR KIDS, Clint currently serves as a
member of the Board of Directors for the Rodenfels Family Foundation based in Signal
Hill, California. Clint's other volunteer roles have included serving as a drop-in center
volunteer with the Los Angeles Youth Network where he developed and conducted a
photography workshop for homeless youth, as Director of Volunteers for Los Angeles
Youth Supportive Services, and as a listener, trainer, and member of the Board of
Directors for Community Helpline in Palos Verdes Estates, California.

Clint is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National
Network for Social Work Managers.

Clint received a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Systems, Business Computer
Methods along with a Certificate in Technical Writing from California State University,
Long Beach.

Roberta (Robyn) Perry-Garrison                                              Member

Robyn is the Director of Supplier Management and Procurement for the Airborne ASW
& ISR Systems Division of Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems. She is responsible for
all supplier management and procurement activities for the programs within this
division. Additionally, Robyn is responsible for the IDS SM&P People, Processes and
Tools utilized in the Puget Sound area.

Robyn previously served as the Director of Supplier Management and Procurement for
the P8-A Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft program in Renton WA. She also served as
the Director of Supplier Management and Procurement for the Comanche Program in
Bridgeport CT responsible for all supplier management efforts of the Boeing Sikorsky
joint venture. She has also led a number of Finance and Supplier Management process
initiatives focused on implement enterprise common processes and electronic commerce.

Robyn joined Boeing in September 1980 and has held various positions in Finance and
Supplier Management and Procurement since that time.

Robyn received her BA in Business Administration – Finance from Seattle University in
1987, and completed an Executive MBA Program, University of Washington, inJune 1998

Robyn is married to Kevin Garrison and has 2 children, son Chris and daughter Alex, her
hobbies include hiking, biking, running, and reading.

Amanda Grant                                                                Member

Amanda is Managing Director and Head of Global Relationship Management for Babson
Capital Management LLC. She is responsible for the retention and growth of Babson
Capital’s existing institutional investor relationships. Additionally Amanda serves as a
member of the Executive Management Committee of the organization. She is also a
member of the firm’s Charitable Strategy Committee.

Amanda was a Founding Partner of Curant Associates LLC, a consulting firm that
delivered customized client service solutions for asset management organizations to
improve client retention, augment cross-selling and referral business, improve internal
working relationships and increase profitability. Prior to founding and operating Curant
Associates, she held positions as the Senior Vice President and Manager of Institutional
Client Relations at MitchelL Hutchins (now UBS Global Asset Management), Vice
President and Senior Relationship Manager of Client Relations at Oppenheimer Capital
and as a Marketing Associate in Institutional Investment Services at Shearson Lehman

Amanda received an M.A. in English Literature from Hunter College (CUNY) in 1994
and a B.A. in English Literature with a Marketing Minor from Pace University in 1990,
where she was a Fellow of Dyson College and received a full scholarship as a national
debate champion and served as the President of the Pace Debate Society. Amandea is a
member of the Board of Directors of PAICR (Professional Association for Investment
Communication Resources) and established and leads the organizations Mentor

Shawn Duncan                                                              Secretary

Shawn is the Operations Manager – Field for Cox Communications in Phoenix, Arizona.
He is responsible for eighty-five Field Service Representatives and eight Field
Supervisors in the Mesa, Gilbert, and South Scottsdale area. He is responsible for
servicing and installation of approximately 300,000 customers for voice, video and
high speed internet, and for nearly four million in-house labor expenses.

Shawn has also has held numerous volunteer positions with diverse organizations such
as the Maricopa County Juvenile Probation Community Advisory Board in Arizona,
where he helped evaluate and enhance services provided by the Maricopa County
Juvenile Court Center. Their common interests ensure that Juvenile Court practices
continue to reflect the best interests of youth, families, victims, and the community.

Additionally, Shawn is responsible for Area Service Center performance matrices that
include customer satisfaction, quality, production, customer growth, financial stewardship
and etc. Shawn designed and implemented performance management system for Field
Operations improving performance by nearly 75% in 5 years.
Shawn currently attends Western International University in Phoenix, Arizona working on
his BS degree.

Shawn and his wife Tori Duncan currently reside in Gilbert, Arizona, and have been
married to for seven years. They have three daughters, Sydney, Healey, and Brittaney and
look for every opportunity to share their experiences and impact on the world with

Darin Spurgeon                                                       Member
Darin Spurgeon is the Americas Director for Virgin Unite, the charitable arm of the
Virgin Group. Virgin Unite works to bring together Virgin’s global resources to drive
entrepreneurial approaches to social and environmental issues.

Darin comes to Virgin Unite from a background in international development, which
gives him a unique perspective on U.S. domestic issues as well as Virgin Unite’s
international programs. Before joining Virgin Unite, Darin was working in Rome, Italy
as a Business Analyst for the United Nations World Food Programme, where he was
responsible for programs in the Middle East and Southern Africa. While there, Darin
had the opportunity to participate in the largest humanitarian operation in history –
delivering food to Iraq.

Prior to working for the UN, Darin was the Country Director for Save the Children in
Bosnia. During that time, he also established operations in Montenegro to assist Kosovo
refugees, as well as developing educational and psychosocial programs in Bosnia. During
this period, he also found time to co-founded Bosnia’s first eco-tourism company, Green

Darin has a B.A. in History, and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, where
he was the recipient of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Scholarship. Darin is fluent
in Serbo-Croatian and speaks conversational German.

Rick Koca                                                            Founder & CEO

Rick is a retired naval officer. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 and for the next 30
years proudly wore his Navy blue uniform. During his career he was promoted 13 times
through 17 pay grades. A highly decorated naval officer, Rick was awarded the Defense
Meritorious Service Medal, two Joint Service Commendation Medals, two Navy
Commendation Medals, three Navy Achievement Medals, as well as numerous service
awards and commendations. He is qualified in Submarines and an Air Crewmember and
entitled to wear both warfare insignias.

During his 30-year career Rick served in a variety of locations and positions -- from the
frozen harbors in Alaska to the rain forests of Panama. In Europe, he flew with the USAF
as a Battle Staff Team member aboard the European Airborne Command Post. In
Panama, he was the Adjutant General to the U. S. Commander in Chief, U.S. Southern

Rick has been awarded the George Washington Honor Medal, by Freedoms Foundation
at Valley Forge, for his work with homeless and street kids; and was singled out by the
Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership as a finalist for the year 2002 Edward A. Smith
Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership for exemplary voluntary leadership. In
San Diego he was awarded the Channel 10 Leadership Award. STANDUP FOR KIDS is

listed as the FIRST program in the book: “50 Ways to Save Our Children”. In 2006, Rick
was selected by Civic Ventures as a Purpose Prize Fellow, a leader in a new age of social
