We extend a warm welcome to all who join us in worship. Today we will celebrate the
sacrament of baptism when Steve and Angela Mohr present Caleb Scott; and Andrew
and Erin Hill present Grayson David. Additionally, the new elders and deacons will be
installed. We extend a special welcome to family and friends who are here for these
occasions and invite all visitors to please join us for refreshments and fellowship
downstairs after the morning service. May our time of fellowship with the Lord and each
other be a means of grace for us all.

June 4, 2010.

NEXT WEEK: Rev. Geleynse will lead the morning service and seminarian Mark Bonnes
the evening service.

INSTALLATION OF OFFICE BEARERS: The Installation of Office Bearers will
take place this morning. John DeWeerd, John Hordyk, J Oosterom, and Rick Vanmeurs
will be installed in the position of Elder and Shawn Hummel and Gerald VanderPloeg will
be installed in the position of Deacon.

SEMINARY INTERN STUDENT WILL BE HERE: Mark Bonnes, a Calvin
Seminary student, will arrive in Stratford on June 1, 2010. He will be with us and lead us
in worship from June 1 until August 8, 2010. Council has secured a furnished apartment
for Mark on Mornington Street in Stratford for this time. Rev. Geleynse has graciously
agreed to serve as Mark’s mentor, and Stan Puklicz as Mark’s supervisor. As Mark is
young and single, a student and probably not a great cook, consistory has proposed, with
Mark’s knowledge, to post a schedule in the fellowship hall downstairs that can be
filled in by congregational members. This schedule is intended to be the day (or
days) that you would be able and willing to have Mark over for a meal (be that
lunch or supper).
The original schedule will block out Sundays to allow Mark to determine whether he is able
and willing to visit members on that day, as Sundays will be a busy day for him. It is our
hope that this will enhance the experience for both Mark and our congregation.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL: Summer Sunday school runs through the months of
July and August for ages 4 and 5. As of July 4th the Summer Sunday school program
begins. If you would be willing to teach a Sunday or two in the summer please talk to
Esther Roth ASAP. Thank you in advance for your willingness to volunteer.

MUSIC AND WORSHIP is preparing the summer schedule for gathering song leaders,
ushers, power point, sound, and pianists. If you would like to change your availability or if
you wish to be put on the list now is the time to speak to John DeWeerd.

important survey about Ministry Shares, the program that helps to pay for a wide range of
ministries here at home and around the world. If you are a member, a regular attender, or a

GROUNDWORK: Biblical Justice and Worldly Injustice: We encounter injustice
every day. Sometimes the injustice is obvious—like being fired because of gender or skin
color. But usually it's more complicated. For example, what if the clothing you buy is
manufactured in a third world sweatshop? Join the conversation and study what the Bible
says about justice and injustice. Tune in to Groundwork June 6th; find a local radio station
or listen online at www.GroundworkOnline.com.
