                  - Second 90 degree bank, costant pitch, changing bank

                  - Select suitable reference points, set heading bug, clear area
                  - Altitude: 1500' AGL or higher
Lazy 8s           - Power: 17" - 18" @ 2300 RPM
                  - Two climbing and descending 180 degree turns, one in each direction
                  - Approximately 300' altitude gain , 30 o bank at 90 o point
                  - Select suitable reference points, set heading bug, clear area
                  - Power: 20" @ 2300 RPM
8s on Pylons      - Establish pivotal altitude: 800' - 900' AGL
                  - Enter downwind, max bank 30 o to 40 o

Operating Notes
1. Takeoff:       Normal:        VR = 70kts, VY = 90 kts (VY = 78 kts with gear extended)
                  Short:         flaps 25o, rotate = 55kts, pitch = 60kts (pull firmly; flap / gear / flaps)

                  Soft:          flaps 25
2. Climb:         1000' AGL:    2500 RPM / 25", fuel pump off                        VX = 78 / 72 kts gear up/down
                  Cruise climb: 100kts                                               VG = 79 kts
                  Remember to open throttle as altitude increases                    VA = 118 - 90 kts
                                                                                     VLE = 129 kts
3. Cruise:        65% power @ 2400 RPM
                  2000' = 22.5" / 4000' = 22.0" / 6000' = 21.5" / 8000' = 21"

4. Pattern:       downwind:      2400 RPM, 15" - 18", pitch for 90kts
                  numbers:       gear down, flaps 10o, 13", pitch for 90kts
                  base:          25o, pitch for 80kts
                  final:         full flaps, pitch for 75kts, prop forward
5. Landing:       Normal:        full flaps, props high RPM, ease power off in flare
                  Short:         full flaps, approach @ 69kts, power off before flare, flaps up on contact
                  Soft:          full flaps, carry power into flare, land on mains, nose down easily
                  180o:          abeam touch-down point: idle, gear down, prop forward, 79kts

6. Practice       Speed: 87kts, pull gear pump breaker, landing gear handle down
  Gear Extend:    Check: bulbs, panel lights, master, breakers
                  Emergency gear extend lever down, fishtail, check for three greens
                  Reset emergency gear extend lever, reset breaker, cycle gear
7. Etc.           Rember to switch tanks and record time used
                  If landing gear bulb(s) inop, check panel light rheostat, swap bulbs
                  Go-around: flap, flap, gear, flap, pitch for 72kts dirty to 78kts clean
