School Transport
If school is open, transport operators will do their best to run school transport.
However they may not operate normal routes if they consider them to be too
dangerous especially those routes off main roads.

What happens if school is open and weather deteriorates during the day?
If road conditions deteriorate during the school day and a decision is made to close
the school early, we have a system in place whereby parents of children travelling on
school buses will be informed that the children are coming home early. No children
will be released from school until contact has been made with parents/carers. This
is a priority as it is important that there is someone at the other end to receive
them. You will need to ensure that we have updated emergency telephone
numbers/mobile contact.

If the children travel by car or are within walking distance you may like to collect
the children at an earlier time, should the weather deteriorate during the day to
the point when the school is likely to close.

Suitable clothing
Please make sure that your child arrives in suitable warm clothing and wellies if the
weather is bad.
