					       Planning Meeting, August 27, 2009

     American Girl Doll Club
              St. Joseph Museum Chapter

AGD Club meetings will be held on the third Friday evening of each
month from 6:30 to 9 PM at the Frederick Avenue Museum site.
Meetings will begin with a pizza supper and doll games. After the
supper there will be doll history, crafts and a movie.

The cost for each meeting will be $8, or $48 for the series of 7
monthly meetings. Children with family or student Museum
memberships will owe $6 per session or $36 for the series.

September 18 …… Julie & Ivy decorate their jeans.
October 16 ……… Kaya makes gifts for her friends.
November 20 …… Josephina creates tortilla treats.
January 22 ………. Chrissa meets the new “doll of the year.”
February 19………… Addy & quilts of the “Underground
Railroad”
March 19 ………… Meet Caroline, St. Joseph’s own 1861 doll
April 20 …………. Rebecca & Nellie meet Lady Liberty
Rule # 1. … No member must have an American Girl doll.
The Museum owns the historic dolls and will be available
for ‘gentle’ play during each meeting.

Rule # 2. … Members must have an interest in history and
enjoy playing with dolls.

Rule # 3…. Personally owned dolls are welcome at each
meeting, but should not ‘try on’ the Museum’s doll clothes
collection.

Rule # 4. … AGD Club membership is open to all ages,
however, an adult should accompany children under 6
years of age.

Rule # 5…. Members need to provide an email address for
Museum use in sending reminders of meetings. (These
will not be sold or given away.)

Rule # 6 …. Treat all members as tenderly. Be sure all
comments pass through the three gates: 1. Is it true? 2. Is it
needed? 3. Is it kind?

Rule # 7 … Leave Museum area and articles as neat or
neater than when you arrived.
