          Gesturetek is the world leader in computer vision technology. Responsibilities include; server and desktop maintenance, infrastructure planning, security
          and antivirus maintenance, new user accounts, system setups, troubleshooting, and tech support (both external and internal clients)

          Selected Accomplishments:
                    •        Solved production issues at manufacturing facility saving thousands in late fines from client and potentially saving the long term con-
                             tract worth millions.
                             Transformed infrastructure from non redundant “small shop” level to redundant, high availability systems.

                             and trade shows.


AARDCOM, CONTRACT
Consultant – Reporting to President

          Part of Aardcom’s main service offerings are that of trade show registration services, both pre and on-site registration. Responsibilities include; travel
          booking, pre show site visit to ensure equipment has shipped; 12 hours+ days (pre show setup and post show teardown); training of event staff on data-
          base usage; onsite trouble shooting.

          Selected Accomplishments:
                            Resolved mission critical issues on site with limited resources while in foreign cities.
                            Developed portable Linux based server to maintain registration systems maintaining data redundancy
                            Meeting clients requests by data-mining show data to answer statistical questions


PROGRESS CAREER PLANNING INSTITUTE 1996 TO 2007

          group. Responsibilities included; day to day system maintenance, infrastructure planning on very small budget, purchase defense to provincial, and federal
          government funders, assisting public/internal users, computer workshop teaching, maintenance of a public access computer network.

          Selected Accomplishments:
                    •        Designed a workshop booking database which manages clients, statistical results, seating limits and facilitators assigned to work-
                             shop.
                    •        Converted all Microsoft servers to open source Linux resulting in thousands of dollars being saved in licensing costs. Since this is a not
                             for profit organization, this resulted is more budget for client care.
                    •        Developed PHP web site registration systems for conferences held for Internationally Educated Professionals (www.iep.ca) and other
                             workshops held by the organization.
