Posting Announcement Internal - Kerr County Employees Only Posting Date: September 29, 2010 Closing Date: October 6, 2010 (Noon) Title: Court Clerk 15.1 – District Clerk’s Office Starting Salary: $13.51 hourly Description of the Work: Clerical work requiring application of various methods that involve intricate details, high level independent judgment, and accuracy. Additional duties include but are not limited to; training courtroom and other personnel, serving the public, performing complex clerical filing and basic accounting procedures requiring complex work methods and procedures in accordance with the laws, statutes, and regulations controlling the District Clerks office and within the policies, procedures and guidelines of Kerr County and the District Clerks’ office. Qualifications: Must have high school diploma, or equivalent, or work related skills. Must have knowledge of basic accounting procedures, above average computer and software skills, ability to type at least 50 wpm, possess excellent public relations skills, communication and telephone skills, high tolerance of stressful situations, a positive attitude, and be able to work well with co-workers and the general public. Knowledge of business English, Spelling, and Arithmetic, office practices and procedures, ability to effectively operate computers, typewriters, faxes, microfilm reader, adding machine, calculators, copiers, and other various office equipment. (Microsoft Office and software proficiency a must) May also act as a receptionist or telephone operator, answering questions and directing visitors. May perform other duties not specifically listed. Special Requirements: Candidate must be able to be bonded and insured or meet these expectations within 30 days. Job offer contingent upon passing a criminal background investigation.
