        The South African Youth Council (SAYC) together with the office for Youth
        Development at the Delmas municipality convened young people around Botleng
        Township to voluntarily assist in cleaning the premises of Botleng Secondary
        School. This activity took place on the 15 January 2009. T-shirts bearing the
        Delmas municipal logo as well as the SAYC logo were handed out to all
        volunteers. They picked up papers & other litter around the school premises. The
        cleaning started at 09:00 and continued until 14H45. This was another initiation
        by the youth unit to signal their support for education as well as the importance
        of a clean learning & teaching environment.
