Score Step 1 – SAP Modules & figures
     Step 1 is fully based upon SAP ERP ECC 6
       – Mainly SAP PS and CATS
       – SAP FI/CO for CC/PC hierarchies

       – Ability to take project “snapshots” (i.e. versions) at certain gates
       – Ability to compare current project situation with previous snapshots
       – In a table format, so difficult to track time deviation
       – No graphical view for highlighting in an easy way the time deviation

     SAP Consulting Solution was bought to compensate:
       – Visually highlight the deviation compared to the contract, in a graphical manner
       – Concept was kept and included in standard cProjects 5.0

     In standard cProjects 4.5
       – Lack of built-in quick reports for gathering demand per employee/org unit/project/
          work package and compare it with availability and staffed hours
       – Evaluation forms do not provide a multi-axis analysis
       – Some BW reports are provided, but not based upon real time data
       – Even with BI 7 and incremental updates, it is a heavy setup compared to cProjects

     SAP Consulting Solution was bought to compensate:
       – Get quick access to real time report showing demand/availability/staffed hours
       – Search form with multi criteria
       – Accessible and maintainable without setting up a BW environment
       – Useful both for PM and RM organizations

Concerns
     Not covered by standard SAP maintenance
       – Need to perform in-house maintenance or buy an extended maintenance
     Very sensitive to application Support Package upgrades and OSS notes
       – Re-inforce the need for extra maintenance
     No warranty that it will be included in SAP standard in the future
     Most of end users compare with other operational software and implicitely expect
      most of those functions
     Why buying it and why not getting it “for free” in Support Packages ?
