Course Description:

DC circuits. KVL and KCL. Mesh and nodal circuits analysis. Network theroems transient analysis
of RL. RC and RLC circuits. AC circuit analysis.

Experiment 1:
Resistors,DC Power supplies and DC meters.
The objective of this experiment is to become familiar with the use of DC power supplies,
resistors, color codes,DC meters and to invistigate the Characteristics of Series and
Parallel DC circuits.

Experiment 2:
Potentiometers, Series-Parallel DC circuits, Wheatestone Bridge and Delta-Y conversion.
The Objective of this experiment is to become familiar with potentiometers, Delta-Y
conversion and wheatestone bridge.

Experiment 3:
Methods of analysis and Superposition principle.
The objective of this experiment is to become familiar with the branch, mech, nodal
analysis techniques and with Superposition Principle.

Experiment 4:
Thevenin's and Norton,s Theorem.
The objective of this experiment is to varify experimentally the thevenin's and norton's
theorem.

Experiment 5:
Maximum Power Transfer and Source Transformation.
The objective of this experiment is to invistigate the conditions for maximum Power
transfer in DC circuits and the source transformation circuits.

Experiment 6:
Capacitors, RC and RL circuits with DC source.
The objective of this experiment is ti become familiar with the behavior of inductors and
capacitors in DC circuits.

Experiment 7:
Oscilloscope: Voltage, Current and Time Constant.
The objective of this experiment to become familiar with oscillscope operating controls
and its voltage, current ,time measurments and with AC signal operating.

Experiment 8:
Oscilloscope: Frequency Measurment.
The objective of this experiment is to become familiar with oscilloscope frequency
measurment.

Experiment 9:
Oscolliscope: Phase Measurment.
The objective of this experiment is to become familiar with oscilloscope phase
measurment.

Experiment 10:
RLC components,Frequency dependence and Frequency response.
The objective of this experiment is to note the effect of frequency on basic RLC circuits.
Electrical Machine Lab. (610386) :
Course Description:

Open and short circuit test of transformers .Electrical machines Transformer Generator Motor
analysis and specification.

Experiment 1:
Single Phase Transformer Part (A)
The objective of this experiment is to illustrate the transformer losses and describe the
iron losses then the measurement of the transformer parameters (i.e Winding resistance)
through open circuit test.

Experiment 2:
Single Phase Transformer Part (B)
The objective of this experiment is to illustrate the transformer losses and describe the
cupper losses then the measurement of the transformer parameters through short circuit
test.

Experiment 3:
Three Phase Transformer Part (A)
The Objective of this experiment is to become familiar with transformer and know the
different connections of the 3 phase transformer and perform the open circuit test (No
load test) in order to measure transformer parameters, Transformation ratio and iron
losses.

Experiment 4:
Three Phase Transformer Part (B)
The Objective of this experiment is to become familiar with transformer and know the
different connections of the 3 phase transformer and perform the Short circuit test in order
to measure transformer parameters and Cupper losses.

Experiment 5:
Loaded Three-Phase Transformer
The objective of this experiment is to understanding the different types of load (resistive,
inductive and capacitive) loads and to understanding the idea of loading transformer with
different loads type will affect on the transformer voltage , and measuring voltage
regulation, transformer efficiency.

Experiment 6:
Three Phase Synchronous Generator
The objective of this experiment is to perform open and short circuit tests in order to
understanding the behavior of synchronous generator ,the relationship between field
current and flux ,synchronous reactance , Measuring winding resistance, Magnetization
curve, and generator equivalent circuit.

Experiment 7:
Loaded Three-Phase Synchronous Generator
The objective of this experiment is to measuring the Voltage regulation, constructing the
circuit of the three-phase synchronous generator and to measure power factor.

Experiment 8:
Three phase synchronous Motor
The objective of this experiment is to Constructing the equivalent circuit of the three-
phase Motor and to getting familiar with the V-curve.
Experiment 9:
Asynchronous Motor
The objective of this experiment is to become familiar No-load and short circuit tests and
Dc test and to Construct the equivalent Circuit.

Experiment 10:
DC – Shunt Motor
The objective of this experiment is to Getting familiar with magnetizing curve and
construct the equivalent circuit of DC Motor.
