Life in modern day times can be challenging. We face many different demands, roles and challenges.
Finding peace in busy times is a retreat designed to help you centre yourself.
It is with centeredness that we find we do not sway or fall in the daily demands of life but rather find
ourselves powerful no matter the circumstance.

                                    WORKSHOP PROGRAM: 4TH TO THE 6TH OF MARCH 2011

     The cost for each workshop is R2650 sharing (2 sharing per room – single beds) or R2950 for a single which includes
     all accommodation, food, facilitators and material. Attendants may choose to stay at alternative accommodation
     upon request at a cost of R1800.

     The cost excludes transport which is a self drive. (Attendees may choose to drive together in order to save on travel
     costs and this can be coordinated through Lisa.) The retreat will consist of a maximum of 12 people to ensure
     personal attention and cohesion between the group.

     The lodge is rustic although very comfortable. Set in the forested paradise of Magoebaskloof it features the most

     Food will be kept wholesome but nourishing with breakfasts including muesli, yogurt and fruit to lunches with
     whole-wheat breads and salads to dinners which include pastas or chicken with salads and vegetables. No retreat
     however could be complete without oat baked biscuits and a slice or two of home baked carrot cake or Gen’s
     chocolate aubergine cake.

                               Lisa is a holistic wellness coach. Having faced her own set of life challenges, she
                               believes in the concept of ‘empowered wellbeing’ meaning the ability to find
                               power and a feeling of wellbeing within despite one’s circumstances.

                               She works in assisting individuals to incorporate positive change through the
                               process of becoming aware. She believes that once we learn how to make choices
                               in line with our ‘authentic’ self then we are able to navigate life with feelings of
                               contentment and wellbeing.
                               Lisa is the owner of Life Inc and outside of that loves sport and chocolate.



About Gen
Genevieve Young is passionate about helping others see the
extraordinary in themselves and their lives! As an individual, Genevieve
walks the talk. She lives her authentic life, which is evident to anyone
who comes into contact with her. As such, she has considerable life
experience for someone her age and is comfortable working with and
relating to people of all ages.

Genevieve is enthusiastic, young at heart and naturally inspiring to
others. She is a good role model for young people, showing through
her actions that it is possible to live your dreams and be yourself.




Retreat content
The workshops on the retreat have been designed to help participants access their own sense of centeredness and
power within and to integrate the knowledge. Content of the workshops include learning to balance emotions,
intellect and intuition, practical tools to take into daily life and becoming more aware in order to make choices
more aligned with the authentic self.
The yoga sessions on the retreat will be such that participants on various levels can partake. Gen’s gentle approach
will have you loving the sessions and waiting for more.
Yoga sessions will end with a session of meditation and breathing in order to introduce participants to the wonder
of silence.
Walks in the forest will not be taxing but have been introduced to give participants the chance to experience the
magic of indigenous forests and the chance to connect with nature.


 Retreat Approach
 The aim of the retreat is to provide a platform for participants to centre themselves. As such the retreat many of
 the exercises will be about learning to quiet the mind and find ways of centering oneself. We do understand
 however that being in silence can be challenging and as such have decided not to conduct a silent retreat but to
 allow participants to connect with each other.
 Our intention is that you leave feeling more centered, peaceful and powerful than when you arrived and have the
 tools to equip you in sustaining that in life back home.

                                                        WHAT TO BRING
This particularly beautiful part of the world lies at the foot of the northern tip of the Drakensberg mountain range. It is a
magical place and features some of the last remaining indigenous forest in South Africa as well as some exquisite
waterfalls. As such the area can experience a wide range of temperatures and it is best to come prepared.
The main aim of the retreat is to be comfortable and to ‘return to yourself’ so keep to comfortable clothing. Items to
include in your luggage are;
Warm jacket and tracksuit                                            Cap and sunglasses

Towel                                                                Walking shoes / takkies

Small blanket and cushion for meditation                             Yoga mat if you have your own – these are available for
purchase or alternatively can be borrowed for the purpose of the retreat.
Please bring snacks of your preference for walks although there will be snacks provided and don’t forget sense of humour
and open mind.

upon booking. Cancellations can only be accepted up until 5 days prior to the event after which a 25% cancellation fee will

Directions:

Magoebaskloof Lifestyle Lodge is approximately 4 hours from Johannesburg with stops. Take the N1 from Johannesburg to
Polokwane (Pietersburg), bypassing Pretoria.
2. 2 km after the Shell Ultra City and +/- 5km before Polokwane (Pietersburg) take the R71 to Tzaneen. After 4.6 km you
will reach a four-way intersection with traffic lights. Go straight across. After a further 2,5km you will reach a four-way
stop. Go straight across.
3 km further on, you will reach a set of traffic lights. Turn right and drive towards Tzaneen on the R71. Pass Moriah church
on your right hand side and follow the road up the pass. About 2.5km before Haenertsburg you will see a sign for the lodge
on your left hand side.
Follow the dirt road slip way and travel straight down the road, past the pine forest on your right. Follow the road past the
stables and paddocks on the left. Proceed slowly and watch out for the sign for MAGOEBASKLOOF LIFESTYLE LODGE. Turn
right and follow the lodge signs. The lodge is on your left hand side.
