									                     A workshop on Gender and Media
          June 8 to 10, 2007 at the HDFC training centre, Lonavala

          Three-day residential training programme for journalists
          from both print and electronic media to provide skills in
                        gender sensitive reporting.

The workshop would be interactive in nature and would provide an opportunity to
gain hands on experience in analysing data and reporting. It would also provide
an opportunity for the print and electronic media journalists of various languages
to mingle and form teams to work together on a story as part of the field based

The design of the workshop:

                                               correspondents/reporters and
                                               sub-editors from both print and
                                               electronic news media
Participation:                                 Preferably through nomination by
                                               the News editor/Chief Reporter/
                                               Sr. Asst. Editor but self-
                                               nominations also to be accepted
                                               in case of freelancers
Venue:                                         HDFC Training Centre, Lonavala
Registration Fee:                              No fees
Dates:                                         8-10 June 2007
No. of participants per workshop:              Not to exceed 24 participants

Travel from Mumbai to Lonavala and back will be arranged. Details will be
communicated to applicants.
