D FILMS ACQUIRES ALL CANADIAN RIGHTS TO
          CASEY AFFLECK’S CONTROVERSIAL DOCUMENTARY
                          I’M STILL HERE
For immediate release

Toronto, Ontario – August 30, 2010 D Films - - D FILMS, Canada’s fastest growing
motion picture distribution company, has acquired exclusive, long term distribution rights
in all media to I’M STILL HERE, Casey Affleck’s controversial and eagerly anticipated
profile about Joaquin’s Phoenix’s pursuit of a career as a hip-hop musician. The
announcement was made today by D Films’ President of Acquisitions, Tony Cianciotta and
by Senior Vice-President of Magnolia Pictures, Tom Quinn.

I’M STILL HERE marks the directorial debut of Affleck. With remarkable access, the film is
a striking portrayal of a tumultuous year in the life of the Academy Award® nominated
actor as he announces his retirement from a successful film career in the fall of 2008 and
sets off to reinvent himself as a hip hop musician. Sometimes funny, sometimes
shocking and always riveting, the film is a portrait of an artist at a crossroads. Defying
expectations, it deftly explores notions of courage and creative reinvention, as well as
the ramifications of a life spent in the public eye.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Magnolia on the Canadian release of I’M STILL HERE,”
said Cianciotta. “They are an exciting voice in US distribution, and we could not be
happier to be partnering with them on this provocative and entertaining film.”

I’M STILL HERE will open in major cities across Canada on September 24 following its
North American premiere as a Special Presentation at the Toronto International Film
Festival. It will have its world premiere at the 67th Venice Film Festival, screening out-of-
competition.

The deal was negotiated by D Films President and CEO, Jim Sherry and by Magnolia
Pictures International Sales Executive, Laird Adamson.
