Woolacombe Bay
Holiday Home Hunter was started in 2003, after I had
worked part time for 3 years at the Woolacombe Tourist
Information Centre. During that time I noticed great
changes were taking place in the resort with most of
the old hotels and guest houses being developed into
modern sea-front apartments. I saw the change in
peoples holiday needs and the demand for contemporary
self catering holiday homes increased as people moved
away from the older style holiday flats with swirly carpets
and candlewick bedspreads, which had by then seen
better days.
It all started when I sold my cottage in Mortehoe to my
brother, he asked me to let it for him and so started
Holiday Home Hunter.
Combesgate Working alongside local estate agent Stephen Brown
and sharing his offices in the beginning, I soon found that
a great many of his clients were buying second homes
and wanted to let them, so I slowly built up a fantastic
portfolio of holiday homes over the next few years.
The company now provides the majority of holiday
homes for let in this wonderful village and surrounds.

8 LITTLE BEACH Band 16
This premier development has recently been converted and provides parking, board storage and is positioned between
the main beaches at Woolacombe. The private ground level entrance to No. 8 is at the rear of the building so access from
the car is easy as the parking area is on this side of the building. On entering the apartment the ground floor rooms lead
off from the hallway. The first room is the smaller double with 4ft double bed. It is a comfortable room to sleep in, but quite
small. Hanging rails, a small chest and underbed drawers provide clothes storage.
The main bedroom is a good size with kingsize bed, large ensuite shower room, wardrobe and a delightful window seat to
enjoy the front view over the beach and sea. The bathroom is on this level and is spacious and modern. The bath has a
shower over. The kitchen with fresh white units housing everything including a microwave but excluding a dishwasher.
On the top level of this unusual apartment is the main living room with glass front to the sea. One of the main features of
this property is the long slim balcony which is set to take in the extensive panoramic view and has room for a café table
and chairs. The oak topped dining table has chairs to seat 6, and is positioned near the French windows for the view. TV,
DVD and music system, sofa suite with sofa bed, coffee tables and storage complete the room making this a really great
place to enjoy sunny days and starry nights. £20 charge per dog per holiday. Friday changover.

5 LITTLE BEACH Wi Fi Band 18
Directly on the famous Esplanade at Woolacombe, the Little Beach development is in a wonderful position not only
opposite the main 3 mile beach but also virtually across the road from the unique little shell beach of Barricane from which
Little beach takes it’s name. Number 5 Little Beach is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment on the front.
The large open plan living room has huge bay sash windows offering a panoramic view over the bay and across to Lundy
Island. This leads to the balcony with table and chairs for 4. There are 2 leather sofas (1 is in fact a sofa bed suitable for
occasional use), dining table for 6, TV/DVD, stereo, and Wi-Fi.
Off the modern white kitchen is a useful pantry cupboard and the integrated kitchen units house full size fridge/freezer,
dish washer, washer/dryer, oven hob and microwave. There is a cloaks/WC off the living room.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and full large en-suite facilities with shower over bath, WC and sink. Even the
twin room has a shower en-suite with WC and sink. This room has 2 x 2’6” single beds, clothes storage and TV/DVD.

Band 15 5 NARRACOTT APARTMENTS
A spacious unusual apartment situated to the side of
the building with a large terraced area with views down
the road to the sea. Immediate access is through patio
doors from the parking area into the main family room/
kitchen. This room opens out into a fantastic space for
dining, viewing TV, playing, cooking and relaxing. The fully
equipped kitchen has maple fronted units. In the dining
area there is a large 6-seater table and chairs and a small
children’s 2-seater table and chairs. A comfortable brown
leather sofa, 2 large faux leather bean bags, coffee table,
CD player/radio and wall-mounted TV create a mini living
space within this large family room, from where stairs rise
to a 25m2 mezzanine lounge area. The lounge has Sky
Freeview TV, DVD/Video players, 3 and 2 seater sofas
and a sumptuous cream carpet making this room a great
entertainment suite/chill-out room or 3rd bedroom when
using the self inflating blowup bed; it also serves as a
great space for the younger family members to be whilst
you are packing to leave. The hallway allows storage
for boards and pushchair etc. The double bedroom has
a new wet room style en-suite the second bedroom
has two single beds. There is also a wooden cot in this
room. From this room there is access to the terrace via a
single patio door. The family bathroom has bath/shower
over. This apartment’s locality to the beach and village
makes for a superb base for your holiday in Woolacombe.

Set in the heart of the village, this spacious 2 bed-room apartment commands
spectacular views over Woolacombe bay across the beach towards Baggy Point
and out to sea.
The open plan living area has comfortable seating with Sky TV and DVD while
the modern kitchen has a breakfast bar for informal dining. The master bedroom
is en-suite, the twin room has a separate bathroom and there is a spacious hall
area with table and chairs, books, puzzles and games. Both bedrooms and living
area have patio doors and all three lead onto private balconies from where you

This gem of a property is in a fantastic location. Just over the road from Woolacombe beach, first floor and to the rear and
side of the Boardwalk Restaurant on Woolacombe’s bustling Esplanade. (please note this apartment is not on the front of
the building)
No 1 has one twin bedroom and then in the open plan living room there is a very comfortable sofa bed that is easy to
make up. Also from this room the Juliet balcony (patio doors that open in with railing across, not a stand on balcony) gives
an obscured side view over to the sea. You can just see the sea from the sofa/sofa-bed or from the table and chairs in
front of the balcony doors. There is a Freeview Digital TV/DVD/Video and CD player, books, games, videos and CDs. The

enjoy beach life in Woolacombe! This 2-bedroom corner apartment is situated on the second floor of Hartland House
Apartments. From the front it looks right out across Woolacombe beach to Putsborough and Baggy Point.
The living room and kitchen are open plan and share the spectacular front view. In the kitchen there is a 50/50 fridge
freezer, oven & hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave. The breakfast bar with 4 stools in front of the window,
enjoys the beautiful beach view. Contemporary furnishings provide the perfect surroundings to enjoy the splendid view or
“chill out” in the evening watching the flat screen TV/DVD, listening to music or even playing on the PS 2! NB. The sofa
is a sofa bed and is offered only as an alternative to using the bunk beds as this apartment is only for a maximum of 4

Band 14 IMPERIAL APARTMENT
You can’t deny that this two bedroom
apartment has a fantastic location in
Bayview Road just minutes from the
seafront, Red Barn and village.
The view from the main living room,
kitchen and balcony, as shown, is one
of the best and takes in the beach, sea
and surf of Woolacombes main beach,
spectacular!
The kitchen is fully equipped with all
appliances and has a great “washing up
view”! The living room and kitchen are
open plan and in the living room there is
a sofa suite/TV/DVD. There is a double
en-suite bedroom and a bunk bedroom
and a family bathroom.
Imperial Apartment is the first floor of 3
apartments next to the Imperial bed and
breakfast which is always handy if you
have friends or relatives joining you for a
few days of the holiday.
This is a great two bedroom place with
parking and views for everyone to enjoy a
holiday in Woolacombe all year round.

Band 18A THE BEACH HOUSE
Situated on a quiet residential cul-de-sac just a 10
minute walk to the beach, The Beach House stands in an
elevated position with the back of the house facing the
bay in Woolacombe. With 3 bedrooms it accommodates
family groups of up to 7 people comfortably (Max 6
adults). Please note that it is up hill coming back from the
beach & some guests have mentioned this.
It is a reverse level which means that two of the bedrooms
are on the lower floor and the main rooms are on the
ground floor where you enter the house from the front. All
rooms seem to have views and most have sea views.
The kitchen/diner has patio doors to the lovely enclosed
garden. The living room has two sofas, SkyTV(basic
package)/DVD/video and a balcony looking out to the
beach. From this room there is a dining area with 6 seater
table, side board and Radio/CD player.
The upstairs bedroom has a zip & link bed which can be
2 singles or a superking. (Please advise your preference
when booking) This room has en-suite facilities.
Downstairs are a triple room with bunk beds and a single
and a bedroom with king-size bed and a wooden cot.
(please supply your own cot linen). The family bathroom is
on this floor but a separate cloakroom has a WC upstairs.
This lovely house has so much to offer a larger or
extended family holidaying in Woolacombe with parking
and walking distance to the beach and village, be quick or
you’ll miss it! Please note that a £100 damage deposit is

The unusual double bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe
underneath a double loft bed. This is accessed via an
open wooden ladder and may not be suitable for anyone
less able. At the end of the bed there a flat screen TV.
The delightful children’s room has white washed furniture,
bunk beds and double doors opening onto the far end of
the conservatory, where there is a dining table and chairs
and a seating area.
This pretty cottage is ideal for a young able family wishing
to be near to Woolacombe and have the convenience of a
pool and facilities on hand. Saturday changeover.
1 Willingcott Valley is within a complex of holiday cottages
set in 100 acres of landscaped grounds. The facilities
boasts an 18 hole golf course (available to use at extra
cost), an outdoor heated swimming pool (free for guests),
fishing lakes and a well renowned bar/restaurant, all only
approx 1 mile from Woolacombe Beach. Only available for
the main summer weeks. The property is an original 18th
century stone built two bedroom cottage with exposed
timbers and traditional features. It is prime position within
the complex with a lawn at the front of a large decked
area for outdoor living.
The living area of the cottage is furnished with
contemporary leather sofas, and has the wooden

Band 8 CLIFFSIDE GARDEN FLAT
A truly stunning setting for a delightful
apartment on The Esplanade with one
of the best views in Woolacombe from
the large floor to ceiling patio doors in
the open plan living room.
The side entrance leads from the
parking space into a small hallway.
From here doors lead to the shower
room, twin bedroom and the main
living room with kitchen area.
The twin bedroom has 2 single beds,
wardrobe, dressing table and TV. The
window is to the side.
In the main room the spectacular
view through the patio doors is
breathtaking. Two armchairs, coffee
table and dining table and chairs make
up this lovely open plan room. The
kitchen is fresh, white and modern
with integrated dishwasher, washing
machine and fridge/freezer.
With off road parking for one car and
a lovely enclosed private patio area,
this is a great choice for 2/3 people
for a holiday by the sea at any time of
the year. There is a fold up guest bed
provided for a third person to sleep in
the living room (no linen provided for

Band 22 MARRAM
Overlooking the beach at Woolacombe, Marram stands
detached and set amongst a cluster of three properties up
a driveway from Sunnyside Road, two roads up from, and
parallel to The Esplanade.
This great location means just a short walk down to the
beach and village. With three bedrooms and modern open
plan living area, Marram is a wonderful holiday bungalow
full of family appeal, comfortable yet homely. This hidden
gem even has a hot tub on the front decking for the
summer season!
There are two double bedrooms both at the front with
views and one twin bedroom. One of the doubles and
twin share a shower room and the other double has a
bathroom with corner bath with shower over next to it.
In the kitchen area there is a breakfast bar which can
seat 6 on stools for dining. The oven is electric with gas
hob. Other appliances are microwave, and fridge. The
utility room houses the washer/dryer, freezer and worktop
dishwasher.
The main living room has large picture windows and
patio doors to the decking which spans the front of the
bungalow. This makes the room light. The view is lovely
even though it is partly obscured by a large fir tree, you
can see the beach and sea of Woolacombe. The lounge
area has two and three seater sofas, wall mounted 32”
TV, DVD and stereo.

Wi Fi BELLE VUE HOUSE
Great for two families or a larger group,
Belle Vue House is in the perfect position
to be close to the village, beach and
all its amenities. This 4 bedroom large
Victorian semi on 3 floors sleeps up to 8
and is on Beach Road almost opposite
The Narracott Hotel. It is available for
July/August and part September. There is
one dedicated parking space.
The kitchen is fitted with all main
appliances. There is a 4 seater dining
table and chairs. The spacious living
room with sofa, chairs, flat screen HD
TV with SkyPlus/DVD, PS2, some
games, CD player and Wi-Fi. The dining
table extends to seat 8 with eight chairs
available around the house.
On the first floor there are 2 double
bedrooms, a family bathroom and
balcony looking over the main road
and down towards the sea. On the
top floor are 2 further bedrooms and a
shower room. The master bedroom has
a balcony with roof top views towards
the beach and dunes. Next to that is a
children’s room with single loft bed and
further single bed.
This village home is a real home from
home and in such a great location you
simply can’t go wrong.

I THISTLESTONE COTTAGE Wi Fi

With wonderful high specification and location, this holiday
home offers great space for 8 in its well proportioned 4
bedrooms, with 2 parking spaces in the developments
own private courtyard car park.
The modern house is on 3 storeys. The ground floor
has a utility room with washing machine, separate drier,
drinks fridge, sink, worktops and storage. There is an
area to leave surf boards and shoes and there are glass
patio doors leading to the property’s own private walled
enclosed courtyard. On the ground floor there are also 2
double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room and a
separate shower room/cloaks serving the other.Upstairs
on the first floor is the children’s bunk bedroom. The family
bathroom on this floor serves this bedroom.
The living area has the kitchen, dining and lounge in
one open plan space. Juliet balcony, corner sofa suite,
dining table to seat 8, Large Freesat TV, DVD. The
beautiful cream slab kitchen houses full size dishwasher,
large fridge freezer, oven, hob, sink and microwave with
a breakfast bar and stools. There is an incoming only
telephone and WiFi. Up on the second floor there is
a huge master bedroom with kingsize bed, wardrobe,
dressing table and full en-suite with corner bath and
separate shower.
Overall this great property provides a really spacious
holiday home having the advantage of being in a
central village position yet minutes to the beaches of
Woolacombe and Mortehoe. Friday changeover.

HIGHER BURNSIDE Wi Fi Band 14
Higher Burnside forms the penthouse of Burnside and has interesting angles, views and light. We already manage the
two lower apartments, Upper and Lower Burnside, so a large family group could potentially book all 3 making it possible
to accommodate up to 22 people!!
Entrance is via an external one flight wooden stairway after a short walk up and around from the car parking area.
Inside the apartment it is new, fresh and contemporary with the living, dining room open plan to the galley style kitchen
with 2 ring hob, integrated oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The living room has a black leather
“L” shaped sofa with a lovely view to the sea through the double opening Juliet doors. There is a flat screen digital TV,
DVD and Wi-Fi. The master double bedroom has an en-suite shower room and has views onto the National Trust valley
from the interesting low windows as shown. This room has Velux skylight windows and a wardrobe. There is also a twin
bedroom with skylight Velux windows and a built in wardrobe. The family bathroom has shower over bath.
After a day on the beach there is a delightful summerhouse for storage of surf equipment, gardens and BBQ area with
atble and chairs. Parking for one car. There is a refundable damage deposit of £150 required at time of balance. Saturday

Wi Fi UPPER BURNSIDE
Overlooking Combesgate Beach, Upper Burnside, the
upper apartment in a large detached property, offers
great accommodation for up to 3 families or a large
family group. Sleeping 8-10, this fabulous, recently
refurbished apartment has 3 bedrooms and additional
log cabin sleeping 2 in a king size bed. The price shown
is for the main apartment only, May to October, to use
the cabin and sleep up to 10 the price band will be 26. In
addition you could also book one or both of the other two
apartments for a group of up to 22 people.
There is a king-size bedroom with countryside views over
the Combe Valley and sea view, a king en-suite room
a bunk bedroom and a further king-size room with dual
aspect windows giving both sea and countryside views.
From the first king-size bedroom there is an adjacent
bathroom with shower over.
The modern cream kitchen leads to a small wooden
conservatory accessing the upper garden area, log cabin
with full en-suite and Jacuzzi. There are large patio doors
from the dining area onto a sea facing balcony offering
great views and light.
The kitchen is equipped with fridge freezer, slim-line
dishwasher, washer/dryer, electric hob, double oven,
microwave etc. In the bright front living room, the settee
and chairs offer a comfortable cosy place to watch TV.
There is a flat screen TV/DVD, Wi-Fi Wii and Wii fit. Cot
and highchair supplied. There is a damage deposit of

LOWER BURNSIDE Wi Fi

Lower Burnside is a spacious 3 bedroom apartment forming the lower half of a large detached Edwardian house set back
in Combesgate Valley just a few minutes walk from Combesgate beach, popular for surfing at the right tide. It takes about
10 minutes to walk to Barricane beach if that and a bit further round the Esplanade to the main beach and the village.

Another great apartment at Belmont Court in Rockfield Road just a few paces from the Esplanade at Woolacombe and

The view from the living room is stunning and although there is no direct outdoor space there is a small area for clothes
drying and the beach is literally at the end of the road. No need to drive anywhere in Woolacombe once you arrive as
everything is so close by. As you enter the 2nd floor apartment the second and smallest bedroom is in front of you. This
room has twin single beds, clothes storage and a window to the side with a distant view towards Woolacombe Down.
The living room has the best view and has seating and dining for 6/8 people. The sofa bed can be used for occasional

Superb sea views and the lovely old village of Mortehoe within a five minute walk. The beaches of Woolacombe Bay
are within walking distance, the nearest being just below called Grunta and is a personal favourite of mine. One of the
prettiest in the resort with huge sandy bottomed rock pools in which my children learnt to swim! Good surf, sheltered and
great for beach BBQs and fires into the evening, a real gem!
Plover (named after a local coastal bird), has a lovely open plan kitchen and living space combined. Two sumptuous
sofas and coffee table are positioned to enjoy the extensive view from the balcony doors.

Harold Lodge is a cosy cottage style annexe of a delightful Edwardian villa on the cliffside overlooking the bay at
Woolacombe from the Mortehoe end. The views from its sunny south facing terrace are breathtaking.
Sleeping 4 in 2 bedrooms this traditional style property retains the charm and quirkiness of cottage holidays from our past.
With ample parking and allowing pets, this little gem has always been a firm favourite for many repeat clients.

This is one of the penthouse apartments in a very prestigious development called Castle Rock, commanding far reaching,
uninterrupted views as it is positioned on the cliffside of the Northern peninsula of Woolacombe Bay, hence having a
predominantly southerly aspect.
There is a lift from the main entrance and once inside the apartment the high vaulted ceiling helps give this penthouse
its unique feel. The balconies on two sides of the large main open plan room have glass patio doors filling the room
with south westerly light – spectacular! A red leather suite, coffee table, Digital TV, dining area and kitchen all form the
contemporary style. From this room an open tread spiral staircase leads to the mezzanine (no door) bedroom with double

Directly on the coastal side of the road between Woolacombe and Mortehoe, Coast House has uninterrupted views from
some of the windows to the sea and beach below. Sleeping 4 adults and 2/3 children in 3 bedrooms, this lovely holiday
home makes a fabulous place to unwind and enjoy a real coastal position high up on the cliffside. Grunta beach below is
a real gem with rock pools and vast expanse of beach at low tide. Woolacombe main beach and Combesgate are only a
walk away.
This triplex terraced house on 3 floors forms part of the former Victorian Mission Hall, one of the few buildings on the
coast side of the coast road giving it spectacular views from it’s private outdoor terrace. The owners have recently
refurbished the house giving it a new bathroom and kitchen, Bamboo natural floors and redecoration throughout. Eco
friendly products and appliances have been used where possible. The kitchen has beautiful slate worktops and white

National Trust land used for grazing sheep at some times of the year.

away. The cottages are off the beaten track making Crescent Yard a quiet location with no through traffic.

Cliff House has got to be in one of the most outstanding locations in North Devon. It has 2 bedrooms sleeping 4. All main
rooms have incredible sea views and the terrace in front of the house is a south facing sun trap and enjoys far reaching
panoramic views across to Lundy Island, Morte, Baggy and Hartland Point and over the entire Woolacombe Bay to
Putsborough; a truly idyllic spot! Cliff House is next door to Overcombe.
The kitchen diner has a pine dining set and dresser and a modern fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas oven and
hob, integrated fridge and Hi-Fi. In the utility room, there is a washing machine (no dryer) and integrated freezer. The
downstairs cloakroom is off this room.
The living room runs front to back of the house and has an outstanding view from the lovely wide opening window. There
is ample seating, coffee table and TV/Video/DVD.

Overcombe is a wonderful two bedroom seafront
apartment overlooking Combesgate beach, a popular
surfing beach one end of Woolacombe Bay. It sleeps four
comfortably in two bedrooms. Overcombe is next door to
Cliff House.
You will find it hard to beat this outstanding location with
some of the best views in the resort. Overcombe has a
large lounge with a brown leather suite (3 and 2 seater)
where you can sit to take in the view if you are not outside
on the south facing terrace enjoying it! There is a folding
table and four chairs, Freeview TV with Blueray/DVD/
Video, a CD/radio player with MP3 socket and Wi-Fi along
with games, books, DVD’s and videos. The dining table in
the kitchen seats four and the kitchen has a washer/dryer,
microwave, fridge/freezer and full size dishwasher.
The front bedroom has an extensive sea view with a
king size bed and TV. Sit up in bed and see the sea! The
2nd bedroom has 3’ twin beds and has a small ensuite
shower-room. In addition there is even a TV/DVD/iPod

Band 8 6 HOLMESDALE
With such a wonderful view of Woolacombe beach
from the balcony, this little 2nd floor apartment is such a
lovely place to stay as it is also so near to Woolacombe
village, beach and all the amenities the resort has to
offer. Whether you are here to walk, surf, chill or build
sandcastles, this location is perfect.
As with many of our apartments, the living, dining and
kitchen are open plan making it a cosy and extremely
sociable place to be. The comfortable quality sofa and 2
leather armchairs are positioned to enjoy the view in the
daytime and the TV, DVD and CD music system at night.
The wooden round dining table seats 4 and the wood
fronted kitchen units house full size fridge freezer, dish
washer, washing machine, cooker and hob. There is a
microwave and the kitchen is extremely well equipped
as it has been a second home to the owners for several
years.
Opposite the bathroom is the bedroom with double bed
facing the window with a distant view of Woolacombe
Down. The fitted units include wardrobe, dressing table
and TV cabinet corner unit with storage under. In this
room the owners have also provided a chair bed to
accommodate a child up to age 12. (It is apparently very
comfortable.)
I am really pleased to offer this charming apartment
which will cater well for a young family or couple at any
time of the year. Cot and highchair. Board store and use

Ocean Heights really lives up to its name as it looks
down over the beach at Woolacombe from a lovely spot
on Sunnyside Road just a 5 minute walk down to the
beach and village. With two bedrooms it sleeps 4 and has
two lovely balconies/terraces where you can enjoy the
spectacular view, eat al fresco and soak up the sun.
Parking for one car is right outside. The whole of the
downstairs area is open plan and forms the main living
space. The kitchen at the back, dining table in the middle
and lounge area at the front looking out of the huge bay
window across the beach. The ground floor patio area is
in front of this window and has a table and chairs to seat
4. In the kitchen are full facilities to include full size dish
washer, washer/drier, fridge, freezer, cooker, hob and

The best of the view can be taken from the main living
area with its large picture window facing the sea but
probably this apartments best feature is its abundant 60
foot landscaped frontage outside where you can relax. It
is equipped for summer barbeques on the large terraced
area with garden furniture. There is a summerhouse for
inclement weather and as a smokers’ shelter. The views
from the front extend to Putsborough and beyond with the
entire sands of Woolacombe beach in front of you, simply
stunning!!
In the living room there is a Flat screen Freesat HDTV,
DVD, and WiFi plus a radio/CD player/iPod dock with
cradles to suit most models. There are Freesat TV’s in
both bedrooms as well. The kitchen dining area has an

Short Breaks
All properties offer short breaks out of season. From mid July to mid September and some of the school holidays, only
weekly bookings can be taken. At other times short breaks can be booked within two weeks of holiday date. There are
odd exceptions to the two-week rule during the low season. Please enquire for prices.
Pets
A few of the properties accept well-behaved dogs but puppies are not allowed. They are not allowed on furniture and all
their bedding; blankets and feeding equipment should be brought. No dogs should be left unattended at any time in the
property. Please note that even though a property may not accept pets this does not guarantee that no pets have ever
been there. If you suffer from allergies you will need to ask. A charge of £20 per dog per holiday is required except for
Seascape, 7 Pebbles Court.
Linen
All Holiday Home Hunter properties provide bed linen however some do not supply towels. Full details will be on your
booking confirmation.
Beach towels are never provided so you will always need to bring your own.
Where cots are provided please bring your own cot linen.

Natural Beauty, nestling snugly amongst the rugged cliffs of

beautiful and breathtaking scenery of the North Devon coast
surrounds this charming natural harbour.
The resort has been popular since the 1830’s when
the Victorians started to visit the area and much of the
architecture today is a reminder of the Victorian era. Many of
the large, elegant buildings, have since been converted into
quality hotels.
The town has grown up around an ancient harbour where
today fishing vessels share anchorage with pleasure craft,
and from where the M. S. Oldenburg regularly sails to
Lundy Island, twelve miles off the coastline. With its array of
shops, cafes and bars, Ilfracombe has an almost continental
atmosphere.
Ilfracombe is the base for many varied festivals. The town
has a growing reputation for its floral displays and has been
the proud winner of many coveted awards in the “Britain in
Bloom” Competition. Each year the streets are awash with
colour from June to October with baskets, tubs and planters
