         Woolacombe Bay
                          Holiday Home Hunter was started in 2003, after I had
                          worked part time for 3 years at the Woolacombe Tourist
                          Information Centre. During that time I noticed great
                          changes were taking place in the resort with most of
                          the old hotels and guest houses being developed into
                          modern sea-front apartments. I saw the change in
                          peoples holiday needs and the demand for contemporary
                          self catering holiday homes increased as people moved
                          away from the older style holiday flats with swirly carpets
                          and candlewick bedspreads, which had by then seen
                          better days.
                          It all started when I sold my cottage in Mortehoe to my
                          brother, he asked me to let it for him and so started
                          Holiday Home Hunter.
          Combesgate      Working alongside local estate agent Stephen Brown
                          and sharing his offices in the beginning, I soon found that
                          a great many of his clients were buying second homes
                          and wanted to let them, so I slowly built up a fantastic
                          portfolio of holiday homes over the next few years.

                          The company now provides the majority of holiday
                          homes for let in this wonderful village and surrounds.
                          Many of our customers return year after year.

    This premier development has recently been converted and provides parking, board storage and is positioned between
    the main beaches at Woolacombe. The private ground level entrance to No. 8 is at the rear of the building so access from
    the car is easy as the parking area is on this side of the building. On entering the apartment the ground floor rooms lead
    off from the hallway. The first room is the smaller double with 4ft double bed. It is a comfortable room to sleep in, but quite
    small. Hanging rails, a small chest and underbed drawers provide clothes storage.
    The main bedroom is a good size with kingsize bed, large ensuite shower room, wardrobe and a delightful window seat to
    enjoy the front view over the beach and sea. The bathroom is on this level and is spacious and modern. The bath has a
    shower over. The kitchen with fresh white units housing everything including a microwave but excluding a dishwasher.
    On the top level of this unusual apartment is the main living room with glass front to the sea. One of the main features of
    this property is the long slim balcony which is set to take in the extensive panoramic view and has room for a café table
    and chairs. The oak topped dining table has chairs to seat 6, and is positioned near the French windows for the view. TV,
    DVD and music system, sofa suite with sofa bed, coffee tables and storage complete the room making this a really great
    place to enjoy sunny days and starry nights. £20 charge per dog per holiday. Friday changover.

    Directly on the famous Esplanade at Woolacombe, the Little Beach development is in a wonderful position not only
    opposite the main 3 mile beach but also virtually across the road from the unique little shell beach of Barricane from which
    Little beach takes it’s name. Number 5 Little Beach is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment on the front.
    The large open plan living room has huge bay sash windows offering a panoramic view over the bay and across to Lundy
    Island. This leads to the balcony with table and chairs for 4. There are 2 leather sofas (1 is in fact a sofa bed suitable for
    occasional use), dining table for 6, TV/DVD, stereo, and Wi-Fi.
    Off the modern white kitchen is a useful pantry cupboard and the integrated kitchen units house full size fridge/freezer,
    dish washer, washer/dryer, oven hob and microwave. There is a cloaks/WC off the living room.
    The master bedroom has a king-size bed and full large en-suite facilities with shower over bath, WC and sink. Even the
    twin room has a shower en-suite with WC and sink. This room has 2 x 2’6” single beds, clothes storage and TV/DVD.

                                                                    A spacious unusual apartment situated to the side of
                                                                    the building with a large terraced area with views down
                                                                    the road to the sea. Immediate access is through patio
                                                                    doors from the parking area into the main family room/
                                                                    kitchen. This room opens out into a fantastic space for
                                                                    dining, viewing TV, playing, cooking and relaxing. The fully
                                                                    equipped kitchen has maple fronted units. In the dining
                                                                    area there is a large 6-seater table and chairs and a small
                                                                    children’s 2-seater table and chairs. A comfortable brown
                                                                    leather sofa, 2 large faux leather bean bags, coffee table,
                                                                    CD player/radio and wall-mounted TV create a mini living
                                                                    space within this large family room, from where stairs rise
                                                                    to a 25m2 mezzanine lounge area. The lounge has Sky

    spectacular views over Woolacombe bay across the beach towards Baggy Point

    is en-suite, the twin room has a separate bathroom and there is a spacious hall

    No 1 has one twin bedroom and then in the open plan living room there is a very comfortable sofa bed that is easy to
    make up. Also from this room the Juliet balcony (patio doors that open in with railing across, not a stand on balcony) gives
    an obscured side view over to the sea. You can just see the sea from the sofa/sofa-bed or from the table and chairs in
    front of the balcony doors. There is a Freeview Digital TV/DVD/Video and CD player, books, games, videos and CDs. The

                                                                   Bayview Road just minutes from the
                                                                   seafront, Red Barn and village.
                                                                   The view from the main living room,
                                                                   kitchen and balcony, as shown, is one
                                                                   of the best and takes in the beach, sea
                                                                   and surf of Woolacombes main beach,
                                                                   spectacular!
                                                                   The kitchen is fully equipped with all
                                                                   appliances and has a great “washing up
                                                                   view”! The living room and kitchen are
                                                                   open plan and in the living room there is
                                                                   a sofa suite/TV/DVD. There is a double
                                                                   en-suite bedroom and a bunk bedroom

                                                                   Imperial Apartment is the first floor of 3
                                                                   apartments next to the Imperial bed and

    Situated on a quiet residential cul-de-sac just a 10
    minute walk to the beach, The Beach House stands in an
    elevated position with the back of the house facing the
    bay in Woolacombe. With 3 bedrooms it accommodates
    family groups of up to 7 people comfortably (Max 6
    adults). Please note that it is up hill coming back from the
    beach & some guests have mentioned this.
    It is a reverse level which means that two of the bedrooms
    are on the lower floor and the main rooms are on the
    ground floor where you enter the house from the front. All
    rooms seem to have views and most have sea views.
    The kitchen/diner has patio doors to the lovely enclosed
    garden. The living room has two sofas, SkyTV(basic
    package)/DVD/video and a balcony looking out to the
    beach. From this room there is a dining area with 6 seater
    table, side board and Radio/CD player.
    The upstairs bedroom has a zip & link bed which can be
    2 singles or a superking. (Please advise your preference
    when booking) This room has en-suite facilities.
    Downstairs are a triple room with bunk beds and a single
    and a bedroom with king-size bed and a wooden cot.
    (please supply your own cot linen). The family bathroom is
    on this floor but a separate cloakroom has a WC upstairs.
    This lovely house has so much to offer a larger or
    extended family holidaying in Woolacombe with parking
    and walking distance to the beach and village, be quick or
    you’ll miss it! Please note that a £100 damage deposit is

                                                                     The unusual double bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe
                                                                     underneath a double loft bed. This is accessed via an
                                                                     open wooden ladder and may not be suitable for anyone
                                                                     less able. At the end of the bed there a flat screen TV.
                                                                     The delightful children’s room has white washed furniture,
                                                                     bunk beds and double doors opening onto the far end of
                                                                     the conservatory, where there is a dining table and chairs
                                                                     and a seating area.
                                                                     This pretty cottage is ideal for a young able family wishing
                                                                     to be near to Woolacombe and have the convenience of a
                                                                     pool and facilities on hand. Saturday changeover.


     1 Willingcott Valley is within a complex of holiday cottages
     set in 100 acres of landscaped grounds. The facilities
     boasts an 18 hole golf course (available to use at extra
     cost), an outdoor heated swimming pool (free for guests),
     fishing lakes and a well renowned bar/restaurant, all only
     approx 1 mile from Woolacombe Beach. Only available for
     the main summer weeks. The property is an original 18th
     century stone built two bedroom cottage with exposed
     timbers and traditional features. It is prime position within
     the complex with a lawn at the front of a large decked
     area for outdoor living.
     The living area of the cottage is furnished with
     contemporary leather sofas, and has the wooden

                                                                                         parking space into a small hallway.
                                                                                         From here doors lead to the shower
                                                                                         room, twin bedroom and the main
                                                                                         living room with kitchen area.
                                                                                         The twin bedroom has 2 single beds,
                                                                                         wardrobe, dressing table and TV. The
                                                                                         window is to the side.
                                                                                         In the main room the spectacular
                                                                                         view through the patio doors is
                                                                                         breathtaking. Two armchairs, coffee
                                                                                         table and dining table and chairs make
                                                                                         up this lovely open plan room. The
                                                                                         kitchen is fresh, white and modern
                                                                                         with integrated dishwasher, washing
                                                                                         machine and fridge/freezer.
                                                                                         With off road parking for one car and
                                                                                         a lovely enclosed private patio area,
                                                                                         this is a great choice for 2/3 people
                                                                                         for a holiday by the sea at any time of
                                                                                         the year. There is a fold up guest bed
                                                                                         provided for a third person to sleep in
                                                                                         the living room (no linen provided for

     Overlooking the beach at Woolacombe, Marram stands
     detached and set amongst a cluster of three properties up
     a driveway from Sunnyside Road, two roads up from, and
     parallel to The Esplanade.
     This great location means just a short walk down to the
     beach and village. With three bedrooms and modern open
     plan living area, Marram is a wonderful holiday bungalow
     full of family appeal, comfortable yet homely. This hidden
     gem even has a hot tub on the front decking for the
     summer season!
     There are two double bedrooms both at the front with
     views and one twin bedroom. One of the doubles and
     twin share a shower room and the other double has a
     bathroom with corner bath with shower over next to it.
     In the kitchen area there is a breakfast bar which can
     seat 6 on stools for dining. The oven is electric with gas
     hob. Other appliances are microwave, and fridge. The
     utility room houses the washer/dryer, freezer and worktop
     dishwasher.
     The main living room has large picture windows and
     patio doors to the decking which spans the front of the
     bungalow. This makes the room light. The view is lovely
     even though it is partly obscured by a large fir tree, you
     can see the beach and sea of Woolacombe. The lounge
     area has two and three seater sofas, wall mounted 32”
     TV, DVD and stereo.

     Great for two families or a larger group,
     Belle Vue House is in the perfect position
     to be close to the village, beach and
     all its amenities. This 4 bedroom large
     Victorian semi on 3 floors sleeps up to 8
     and is on Beach Road almost opposite
     The Narracott Hotel. It is available for
     July/August and part September. There is
     one dedicated parking space.
     The kitchen is fitted with all main
     appliances. There is a 4 seater dining
     table and chairs. The spacious living
     room with sofa, chairs, flat screen HD
     TV with SkyPlus/DVD, PS2, some
     games, CD player and Wi-Fi. The dining
     table extends to seat 8 with eight chairs
     available around the house.
     On the first floor there are 2 double
     bedrooms, a family bathroom and
     balcony looking over the main road
     and down towards the sea. On the
     top floor are 2 further bedrooms and a
     shower room. The master bedroom has
     a balcony with roof top views towards
     the beach and dunes. Next to that is a
     children’s room with single loft bed and
     further single bed.
     This village home is a real home from
     home and in such a great location you
     simply can’t go wrong.

                                                                     home offers great space for 8 in its well proportioned 4
                                                                     bedrooms, with 2 parking spaces in the developments
                                                                     own private courtyard car park.
                                                                     The modern house is on 3 storeys. The ground floor
                                                                     has a utility room with washing machine, separate drier,
                                                                     drinks fridge, sink, worktops and storage. There is an
                                                                     area to leave surf boards and shoes and there are glass
                                                                     patio doors leading to the property’s own private walled
                                                                     enclosed courtyard. On the ground floor there are also 2
                                                                     double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room and a
                                                                     separate shower room/cloaks serving the other.Upstairs
                                                                     on the first floor is the children’s bunk bedroom. The family
                                                                     bathroom on this floor serves this bedroom.
                                                                     The living area has the kitchen, dining and lounge in
                                                                     one open plan space. Juliet balcony, corner sofa suite,

     Inside the apartment it is new, fresh and contemporary with the living, dining room open plan to the galley style kitchen

     Lower Burnside is a spacious 3 bedroom apartment forming the lower half of a large detached Edwardian house set back
     in Combesgate Valley just a few minutes walk from Combesgate beach, popular for surfing at the right tide. It takes about
     10 minutes to walk to Barricane beach if that and a bit further round the Esplanade to the main beach and the village.
     The living room has a red suite of sofa bed and chairs, TV/DVD, Wi-Fi and raised patio doors to a decked area with 4
     seater table and chairs and view to the sea and National Trust land. There is a lovely small garden area adjacent to the
     apartment. One of the bedrooms has a kingsize bed with a large window overlooking the valley and NT land, next to it is a
     small room with twin beds. There is a bathroom right beside these two rooms. The other small double bedroom is off the
     kitchen at the back of the apartment and has it’s own ensuite shower room. A great feature of this apartment is the large
     family kitchen with 8 seater dining table, patio doors to the terrace and fully equipped kitchen with some integrated and

     drying and the beach is literally at the end of the road. No need to drive anywhere in Woolacombe once you arrive as
     everything is so close by. As you enter the 2nd floor apartment the second and smallest bedroom is in front of you. This
     room has twin single beds, clothes storage and a window to the side with a distant view towards Woolacombe Down.
     The living room has the best view and has seating and dining for 6/8 people. The sofa bed can be used for occasional

     are within walking distance, the nearest being just below called Grunta and is a personal favourite of mine. One of the
     prettiest in the resort with huge sandy bottomed rock pools in which my children learnt to swim! Good surf, sheltered and
     great for beach BBQs and fires into the evening, a real gem!
     Plover (named after a local coastal bird), has a lovely open plan kitchen and living space combined. Two sumptuous

     This is one of the penthouse apartments in a very prestigious development called Castle Rock, commanding far reaching,
     uninterrupted views as it is positioned on the cliffside of the Northern peninsula of Woolacombe Bay, hence having a
     predominantly southerly aspect.
     There is a lift from the main entrance and once inside the apartment the high vaulted ceiling helps give this penthouse
     its unique feel. The balconies on two sides of the large main open plan room have glass patio doors filling the room

     home makes a fabulous place to unwind and enjoy a real coastal position high up on the cliffside. Grunta beach below is
     a real gem with rock pools and vast expanse of beach at low tide. Woolacombe main beach and Combesgate are only a
     walk away.
     This triplex terraced house on 3 floors forms part of the former Victorian Mission Hall, one of the few buildings on the
     coast side of the coast road giving it spectacular views from it’s private outdoor terrace. The owners have recently
     refurbished the house giving it a new bathroom and kitchen, Bamboo natural floors and redecoration throughout. Eco
     friendly products and appliances have been used where possible. The kitchen has beautiful slate worktops and white

     Standing on the site of the former Mortehoe Bakery, Crescent Yard Cottages nestle in a courtyard flanked on one side by
     National Trust land used for grazing sheep at some times of the year.
     The Chichester Arms renowned for its good locally produced food, the church, shops and other amenities are just paces
     away. The cottages are off the beaten track making Crescent Yard a quiet location with no through traffic.
     The village, with its three good pubs serving real ales also has tea rooms, church, heritage centre, post office, fish and
     chip shop, village stores, gift shop, restaurant, and deli selling clotted cream ice cream in about 12 different flavours!
     The three cottages have their own parking and are very conveniently situated to take advantage of Mortehoe’s facilities.

     Bay which is great for rock pools and bathing. The surf

     rooms have incredible sea views and the terrace in front of the house is a south facing sun trap and enjoys far reaching
     panoramic views across to Lundy Island, Morte, Baggy and Hartland Point and over the entire Woolacombe Bay to
     Putsborough; a truly idyllic spot! Cliff House is next door to Overcombe.
     The kitchen diner has a pine dining set and dresser and a modern fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, gas oven and
     hob, integrated fridge and Hi-Fi. In the utility room, there is a washing machine (no dryer) and integrated freezer. The
     downstairs cloakroom is off this room.
     The living room runs front to back of the house and has an outstanding view from the lovely wide opening window. There

                                                                      on the south facing terrace enjoying it! There is a folding

     With such a wonderful view of Woolacombe beach
     from the balcony, this little 2nd floor apartment is such a
     lovely place to stay as it is also so near to Woolacombe
     village, beach and all the amenities the resort has to
     offer. Whether you are here to walk, surf, chill or build
     sandcastles, this location is perfect.
     As with many of our apartments, the living, dining and
     kitchen are open plan making it a cosy and extremely
     sociable place to be. The comfortable quality sofa and 2
     leather armchairs are positioned to enjoy the view in the
     daytime and the TV, DVD and CD music system at night.
     The wooden round dining table seats 4 and the wood
     fronted kitchen units house full size fridge freezer, dish
     washer, washing machine, cooker and hob. There is a
     microwave and the kitchen is extremely well equipped
     as it has been a second home to the owners for several
     years.
     Opposite the bathroom is the bedroom with double bed
     facing the window with a distant view of Woolacombe
     Down. The fitted units include wardrobe, dressing table
     and TV cabinet corner unit with storage under. In this
     room the owners have also provided a chair bed to
     accommodate a child up to age 12. (It is apparently very
     comfortable.)
     I am really pleased to offer this charming apartment
     which will cater well for a young family or couple at any

     Ocean Heights really lives up to its name as it looks
     down over the beach at Woolacombe from a lovely spot
     on Sunnyside Road just a 5 minute walk down to the

     two lovely balconies/terraces where you can enjoy the
     spectacular view, eat al fresco and soak up the sun.
     Parking for one car is right outside. The whole of the
     downstairs area is open plan and forms the main living
     space. The kitchen at the back, dining table in the middle
     and lounge area at the front looking out of the huge bay
     window across the beach. The ground floor patio area is
     in front of this window and has a table and chairs to seat
     4. In the kitchen are full facilities to include full size dish
     washer, washer/drier, fridge, freezer, cooker, hob and

                         from the front extend to Putsborough and beyond with the

     Short Breaks
     All properties offer short breaks out of season. From mid July to mid September and some of the school holidays, only

     Pets
     A few of the properties accept well-behaved dogs but puppies are not allowed. They are not allowed on furniture and all
     their bedding; blankets and feeding equipment should be brought. No dogs should be left unattended at any time in the
     property. Please note that even though a property may not accept pets this does not guarantee that no pets have ever
     been there. If you suffer from allergies you will need to ask. A charge of £20 per dog per holiday is required except for
