Dear Colleague

We are pleased to announce the eighteenth in our continuing series of Hypertension
Update meetings which will be held at the Holiday Inn, Stratford-upon-Avon on Monday
30th and Tuesday 31st October 2006.

Despite the abundance of meetings relating to hypertension, few are aimed primarily at
UK based hospital clinicians. With this in mind, the first Hypertension Update was held
in December 1989 with further annual meetings taking place in Gleneagles, London,
Cambridge and Warwick.

Feedback from delegates attending Hypertension Update meetings over the years has
been extremely positive and has ensured the success of this educational series.

We enclose the new programme which includes sessions on the cause and
consequences of hypertension, current trials and management. A number of specialist
topics will also be covered in the ‘Case Discussion’ session on Tuesday.

We wish to thank our Major Sponsors, BMS and sanofi-aventis, Servier Laboratories Ltd
and Takeda UK Ltd, for providing educational grants towards the cost of the meeting.

We look forward to seeing you in Stratford-upon-Avon this October.
