What to bring:
You will need a *doll for infant massage demonstration and a blanket or quilt
for the doll. This needs to be at least 42 cm (20 in.) long, with realistic hands
and feet and flexible limbs. (See details below for suggested suppliers.)

Please wear comfortable clothes as we may be sitting on carpet for part of
the day. You may wish to bring a cushion to sit on.

Notice to Professionals:
The IAIM program grants CEUs for many heath professionals, including
nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. In B.C. massage
therapists are eligible for 22.5 CEU credits at the completion of the
certification process. Please let me know if you would like more
information on this, or speak to Sylvie at the training.

Suggested dolls:
There is a doll which is now created especially for teaching Infant Massage and
can be ordered from the UK Chapter of the International Association of Infant
Massage (IAIM). It costs 32 UK pounds (C$ 78.) plus shipping. To order online
see the Touch Needs warehouse. http://www.touchneeds.com/

There is a doll available locally called “La Baby” which is also appropriate for use
in teaching Infant Massage. If you are unable to find it in your local toy store, it
can be ordered from the US Chapter of the IAIM through their on-line warehouse
at a cost of about US$ 30. plus shipping. See their website for details:
http://www.iaim-us.com/estore_&_supplies.htm

At past trainings participants have bought soft bodied dolls from stores such as
Wall Mart, Costco or Superstore. If you are not able to purchase a doll before the
training please let me know and I will have one available for you to use.

Please let me know if you have any other questions about the arrangements,
I look forward to seeing you,
