she operates in the Andaman Sea all year around. She was built in the year 2003 and comfortably holds 19

She is now going into her fourth season; she was at the ship yard in the off season for improvements and
repainting and is now ready for a new season.

The Cabins:

The Master Cabin & VIP Cabins are all located on the main deck, the Standard Cabins are found on the lower
deck but still have ample light. With the exception of the Master Cabin, which is enormous, the other cabins
are spacious, not huge but still offer plenty of room.

showers and centrally controlled air-conditioning adjusted by the crew.

• 1 Master Cabin (king size bed) with 8 panoramic windows, fridge, minibar & TV/DVD system.

The Interior:

The saloon onboard MV Queen Scuba is very comfortable with large panoramic windows and TV/DVD/music
entertainment center, a full selection of marine life books & diving magazines and also some novels. There is
also a shaded outside deck area (dining area) with outside seating. Upstairs there's plenty of room for sun
worshippers on the large 60 sq meter sundeck. There is also a very large bench in front of the Captain’s Cabin,
perfect to sit and watch where the boat is heading. This is also the dedicated smoking area; however non-
smokers are of course welcome!

MV Queen Scuba Liveaboard is a very large boat with plenty of space to chill out between the dives, whether
you want to suntan, read a book or watch some of the latest premiere movies in the saloon.

The dive deck:

MV Queen Scuba proudly boasts the largest dive platform in South East Asia, it consists of a very wide and
spacious kitting-up area on two levels, and a separate entry/exit platform 2 exit ladders and 2 fresh water
showers to rinse yourself or your equipment after the dives. You will also find 2 large buckets with fresh
water for rinsing cameras, dive computers and torches.

MV Queen Scuba has an excellent air station with 2 compressors, the tanks are all refilled in the racks without
removing your gear, so there is no unnecessary moving around, you just put all your equipment together the
very first day, and for the rest of the trip you can just relax, your tank will be refilled again and again by the
friendly deck staff. MV Queen Scuba also carries a Nitrox blending system onboard, tanks can be filled with
whatever mixture you desire up to 40% Oxygen. The well-trained diving staff is certified as gas blenders to
ensure safety. If you are not yet certified as a Nitrox diver, then this can easily be done during the trip.

For divers without their own dive computers, Suunto Dive Computers are available for rent on the boat. This
is optional, but it is strongly recommended to rent one of these for your own safety. The dive staff will
explain very thoroughly how these work before the diving begins.

Food & drinks:

The Cook onboard is very experienced, he previously worked at one of the 5-star Hotels in Patong Beach; he
can cook everything from traditional Western food to more spicy Thai dishes. Fresh seasonal fruits and
snacks are also served every day.

   • Mixed Thai/Western dinner, Thai lunch and American breakfast.
   • Buffet-style service on top deck - choose from at least four main dishes with rice and salad.
   • All dietary requirements can be catered for - please send us your requirements.
   • Dinner is also provided on the first evening of the cruise after departure.
   • Operator rates their dining as "very good" and the second most important aspect of the cruise.
   • Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, sweets, snacks and biscuits are provided free of charge.
   • Soft drinks (free), beer (US$ 1.50) and wine (US$ 15) are available.

The Dive crew:

The highly experienced staff onboard is all professional multilingual PADI Divemasters & Instructors and have
all worked several seasons here around the area of the Similan Islands & Richelieu Rock. We recommend that
you dive with one of the onboard dive staff, since they know all the points of interest, and how to navigate the
dive sites to ensure the best dive profile. There is always a dive guide available for you, but if you are an
experienced diver and just want to have a dive site briefing, then you and your buddy can go on your own, but
you will of course have to follow some simple diving rules and instructions given by the dive staff, to ensure
your safety.

1 Tour leader (Cruise Director) + 1 Assistant Tour leader + 3 Diving Guides

(All are certified as PADI Professionals).

The Boat crew:

The boat crew onboard is experienced and very helpful, they speak a little English, certainly enough to
understand when things are serious or when it’s time for jokes, and you don’t have to ask for help, they know
exactly when it’s needed.
