                                             Introduction:
You will complete some of the preparation for this assignment in small groups. You will
have undertaken research into key factors and limitations which influence business,
location and talked to a Small Business Financial Advisor, and a local employer about
assessing and ranking these factors. You will also have talked to a commercial Interior
Designer and representatives from two professional Salon Fitters and furnishers to inform
your design brief. Visits to employers will inform your design plans and the way in which
                                       you chose to present them.
Your design plan will contain a scale drawing and your finished brief will contain financial
costings which could link with your functional skills Maths. Your design plan will contain
appropriate visualisation techniques which could include computer graphics that could be
linked to ICT classes. Your final presentation of this project will link to your functional skills
in English. You will be able to map some parts of this work to your PLTS.
To complete your assignment you will need to complete individual research and produce
evidence as listed in the tasks. You will present your final evidence to a small panel which
will include local employers, a financial supporter and a design consultant. You will also
receive feedback from this panel and reflect on it during your final timed summative
                                               assessment.
