Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area
is considering a fee increase in 2008.
The fee program has been very successful over the past ten years and improvements are apparent. The program is changing ~ Visitors no longer pay for non-developed sites. Fee sites are areas with many visitor amenities. Acreage of required fee area has been reduced from 190,000 to 3,000 acres. Fees will be charged at facilities offering multiple services, specifically the developed boat ramps. The Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area has not increased fees since 1997, when the project started.
