and obligations. Read these documents carefully and do not sign the ENTRY FORM for this competition unless you
are completely satisfied that you understand the contents and agree to be bound by them.

1. ANNOUNCEMENT & JURISDICTION
The CMCC, SCMCC, BMCC, AJSMCC, BSA&HD MC & LWCC and the WAMX Committee known as the
PROMOTERS, will conduct the meetings in accordance with the GENERAL COMPETITION RULES OF
MOTORCYCLING AUSTRALIA, these supplementary regulations & any additions or amendments approved
by Motorcycling Western Australia.
Officials are appointed with the approval of Motorcycling Western Australia. Control will be under the Clerk of
Course with the supervision from the Steward/s of the meeting who reserve the right to alter, postpone or
cancel all or part of the event program if required, without notice.

3. ELIGIBLE CLASSES & EVENTS
3.1 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. ANY RIDER MAY ENTER A CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS. Preference given to those with a
higher grade State Championship events will be contested for each Solo & Quad machine capacity class as
§ Pro Lite Championship: Up to 150cc 2 stroke + 250cc 4 stroke 2 Heats of 15 mins + 1 lap, 1 x 6 Lap Sprint
§ Pro Open Championship: Up to 500cc 2 stroke + Up to 650cc 4 str. 2 Heats of 15 mins + 1 lap, 1 x 6 Lap Sprint
§ Quad Championship: Up to 550cc 2 stroke + Up to 700cc 4 stroke 3 x 10 mins + 1 lap
§ Women’s Solo Championship: Up to 500cc 2 stroke + Up to 650cc 3 x 4 laps
3.2 SUPPORT CLASSES may be conducted at promoter’s discretion
Intermediate Open and Intermediate Lites 2 x 10 mins plus 1 lap, 1 x 6 Lap sprint
Veteran and Pro Veterans (35 yrs & over, race together scored separately) 3 x 4 laps
Clubman Lites Classes and Clubman Open 3 x 4 laps
Quad Racer Clubman Classes Up to 550cc 2 stroke + up to 700cc 4 stroke 3 x 4 laps
Transponders will be compulsory at this meeting. Transponders are either hired through your entry fee to the
event, or can be purchased through AMB on (02) 9546 2606 or email email@example.com. It is compulsory
to have fitted a transponder bracket. Transponder brackets are available for purchase for $15.00 at the
event. You must supply your own cable ties.
Condition of entry:
1. When a transponder is transferred to the competitor, it is the competitor’s responsibility for any repairs or
replacement cost of the transmitter if damaged or lost.
2. It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure the transponder is mounted correctly, and securely to prevent
damage from fouling other components on the machine.
3. It is the competitor's responsibility transponders are returned in good condition at the end of the event, or if
due to machine failure or injury before the machine leaves the pit area. Competitors WILL be fined $50 for
not returning transponders on the day.
4. Transponders must be returned to the designated person as advised at the riders briefing.
5. For transponders not returned on the same day, or not returned to the designated person, in addition to the
$50 fee, the hirer is responsible for the transponder until it arrives back at the MWA office. This includes
while in transit with Australia Post and by Courier. No excuse will be entertained for non-delivery. It is
recommended transponders be hand-delivered.
6. Transponders must be fitted for all practice sessions.
NOTE: The onus is on guardian/rider to ensure transponders are on bikes prior to each event. Please
download order forms from www.motorcyclingwa.org.au and forward to MWA.

9. MINIMUM / MAXIMUM RIDERS
6.1 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
As per the 2010 G.C.R’s, the maximum number of entries that will be accepted per class is forty, (40), except the
quad-racer class where it will be twenty, (20) as per G.C.R.’s. The minimum number of starters required to
constitute a championship race is 25% of the grid.
6.2 SEEDED RIDERS
6.2.1 The top five riders in the 2009 Pro-Lite Championships will be automatically seeded into the Pro-Lite
Championship class for the first round only.
6.2.2 The top five riders in the 2009 Pro-Open Championships will be automatically seeded into the Pro-Open
class for the first round only.
6.2.3 The top five quad riders in 2009 Pro Quad Racer Championships will be automatically seeded into the
Quad-Racer class for the first round only.
At all remaining rounds, the 5 riders with the overall highest points will be automatically seeded into their
6.3 SUPPORT CLASS
The minimum number of entries required to constitute any of the support classes is 25% of the grid.
10. ENTRY FEES & CONDITIONS
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES
Entries will officially close Ten (10) days prior to each championship round. However, entries will be
accepted up to Five (5) days prior to each round but with the penalty of $50 payable in addition to the entry
fee. Under no circumstances will any late entries be accepted after this final date. Incomplete or late
entries will not be accepted and will be returned to the entrant. To be eligible for a refund, you must
notify the race secretary 5 days before the event and have a legitimate reason. Refunds will incur a $10
administration fee. NO EXCEPTIONS. All refunds will be paid at soon as practical by the Promoter

Competitors entering in more than one class must pay the full entry fee for each class as listed above
either as a series entry or individual entry cost, please note you only need one transponder if you are
using the same bike in both classes, or you wish to use two different bikes and manually change
transponder over from bike to bike, otherwise you must include a second transponder fee for the
duration of the second class nominated.
7.2 ENTRY CONDITIONS:
All entries must be correctly submitted on the Motorcycling Western Australia Entry Form, stating the correct
capacity and grade. The entry form and the indemnity clauses must be signed. Entry fees must accompany
entry form or entry will NOT be accepted, NO EXCEPTIONS. Competitors must be current registered
members of an affiliated club. Competitors must be able to produce proof of current club membership. Club
membership cards or receipts must be presented with the competition licence at machine examination for
inspection. Interstate riders must include documented proof of their current grading from their LCB. The
promoters reserve the right to refuse any unacceptable entry.

will not be accepted. NOTE: A STAMPED SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE must be included with each
entry for the return of passes. If you do not present a pass at the gate before 10.00am on race day you
will be charged the normal admission fee. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OF ADMISSION FEES

If under any circumstances the event is abandoned, or an entry is not accepted, all entry fees less $10.00 will be
returned. The promoters reserve the right to postpone, cancel, or change the programme, if necessary, with
Motorcycling Western Australia approval prior to the meeting, or with permission from the MA Steward on the
day of the meeting. Control will be under the Clerk of Course with supervision from the Steward whose
interpretation of the rules shall be binding and final.
11. MACHINE EXAMINATION
Pits will open 6.30am. Machine Examination will commence at 6.30am and conclude at 7.55am
At each round, all machines entered in the competition are to be successfully passed through machine
examination prior to taking part in official activities. All competitors must present themselves with their MA
license, proof of current club membership and full riding gear for inspection. All Riders must wear
full length Motocross Boots, short boots will not be permitted. Any machine not presented with all of
the above requirements will be rejected!
ALL MACHINES MUST CONFORM TO THE GENERAL COMPETITION RULES. Machines may be
measured; bore and stroke, and fuel samples taken at random. The steward will be responsible for the
decision to measure machines on the day. Any machine may be measured at the request of the steward or
under protest. It is a condition of entry that all cost will be borne by the entrant for machines measured under
the instruction of the Steward.
NO SMOKING IN THE PIT OR CANTEEN AREAS
BIKES TO BE WASHED IN DESIGNATED WASH AREAS AS OUTLINED BY EACH HOST CLUB. RIDERS
WITH PRESSURE CLEANERS TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN WATER DRUMS TO FREE UP HOSES FOR
RIDERS WISHING TO HAND WASH THEIR MACHINES. (Drums can be filled before event or when hoses
As per GCR Rule 12.10
12. RACE CONDITIONS
9.1 START/FINISH METHOD
For the allocation of championship points, the championship races must be of the prescribed duration for the
Prolite/Pro Open classes and 10 mins + l lap for the Quad Championship classes.
Riders are not permitted on the start grid until authorized by the officials. Only riders and officials are allowed at the
starting gate from the moment the first rider is placed in position.
Grid selection: Heat 1 - Rider to select a peg. Peg 1 = first selection of all gates, peg 25 = 25th selection of gates
Grid selection: Remaining heats - Riders will select their gate as per the finishing order of the previous heat. i.e.
1st place = 1st selection of ALL gates, 25th placing = 25th selection of remaining gates.
Practice for all championship classes will be as follows. Riders will only have one (1) practice each, except for
those riding two (2) separate capacity machines.
The order of practice and number of laps for each class will be as follows:

§ Quad Clubman 3 laps
§ Quad Championship 5 laps
§ Clubman Open 3 laps
§ Veterans Support 3 laps
§ Women’s 3 laps

Practice classes may be combined.
Practice Starts: will only be permitted during official practice however no practice starts will be permitted after
the last lap board is displayed. Riders must leave the track via the pit return or as directed by the Clerk of
14. CHANGE OF MACHINE
Change of machine is permitted in either of the Championship or Support events as per GCR's on the condition
that notification must be in the hands of the Clerk of Course at least 10 minutes prior to the race in which the
substitution is to be made and further, that the replacement machine must have been correctly entered,
examined and passed at machine examination. Machine change must be of same capacity.
15. CROSSING THE CIRCUIT
Competitors are reminded that crossing the circuit during racing or practice is strictly prohibited.
16. MECHANICS’ AREA
This is the only area where mechanics can get trackside to signal their riders, and if necessary, assist with
mechanical problems without being penalised. Change of goggles/gloves is permitted in this area only. Riders
will be advised of this area at the riders meeting.
The National Personal Accident policy provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. Additional
insurance is the responsibility of individuals. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED COMPETITORS GIVE DUE
CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT SUCH INSURANCE COVER.
"Closed pits" will be in operation at each round. Competitors are to comply with the requests of hosting clubs as to
parking and machine scrutineering. Competitors are to push their machines to and from the start marshalling area.
§ STRICTLY NO RIDING OF BIKES IN THE PIT AREA
§ STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL IN THE PITS
§ DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE CIRCUIT
§ COMPETITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN CONDUCT AS WELL AS THE CONDUCT OF ANY
PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH THEM.
Minimum prize money will be calculated on OVERALL points gained at each round. The WAMX Treasurer will
distribute the prize money applicable to each round. POINTS WILL BE SCORED AS PER GCR’s 17.12.6.
Prize money – Championship Classes - Prize money paid to minimum of 3rd or 25% of the Solo
Championship grid. Quad Championships & Support Classes maximum to 5th place. Intermediate graded quad
racers will be paid bonus prize money at the discretion of the Promoters.
1st $450; 2nd $400; 3rd $360; 4th $330; 5th $300; 6th $250; 7th $230; 8th $200; 9th $180; 10th $150.
Intermediate Classes (not quads) - 1st $250, 2nd $230, 3rd $180, 4th $150, 5th $125.
Clubman Classes - 1st $200, 2nd $180, 3rd $150, 4th $120, 5th $100.
Women’s Solo Class (Round 1 only) – 1st $350, 2nd $250, 3rd $150, 4th $100, 5th $50.
Sponsors product may also be given to series entrants at random.
Total maximum series prize money $68,240.00
17. FIRST AID
An ambulance service will be in attendance. It is a condition of entry that First Aid MUST be accepted wherever
deemed necessary by the attending first aid officers. The Clerk of Course has the right to refuse further
participation if first aid treatment is refused.
17.1 Medical Clearances
Any rider transported via Ambulance or private vehicle will require a medical certificate stating they
are fit to participate in Motorcycle Sport. The Steward will collect information from the injury reports
and relay this to the MWA office where it will be recorded that you require a certificate before you
can compete in any further events and your name placed on a Medical Suspension list. The Medical
Suspension list will be made available to all clubs and promoters.
17.2 Ambulance Cover
All riders are reminded that ambulance cover is compulsory as a condition of your licence. Cover
must be maintained for the duration of your licence. Riders please ensure your Ambulance
Insurance cover is adequate for transport by any Ambulance service provider. i.e. St Johns
Ambulance – Advanced Life Ambulance etc.
18. NO HASSLE POLICY
Any rider or entrant or person associated with the rider or entrant shall conduct himself or herself in an
orderly manner. A rider shall be responsible for his own conduct and that of any person with whom he is
associated. Anyone who abuses or threatens personally or physically any official or any other person present
at the event shall deemed to be in Breach of this rule. The Clerk of Course for a breach of this rule may
impose one or all of these PENALTIES on the day of this meeting i.e.: *Reprimand or warning. *Fine. Loss
of Licence *Expulsion from the meeting. All breaches will be reported to MWA for possible further action.
19. GENERAL RULES
No alcoholic beverages allowed in pits or racing circuit.
There will be no riding of bikes other than on the track, or in marked lanes
Machines must be pushed to and from vehicles and in and out of the pits. Engine may be running to
Dogs will not be permitted (except guide dogs).
Machines must remain in pits for the duration of the days racing, unless permission has been granted by the
Clerk of Course to remove the machine. Riders of machines removed without authority may be excluded and
all points forfeited for the day’s event and/or incur a fine of up to $100.00. Enclosed footwear must be worn
in the pits at all times.
NO pushbikes, quads, pit bikes or scooters permitted within the premises.
20. RIGHT TO USE IMAGE
It is a condition of entry that consent is given by the entrant/rider and/or parent/guardian for all photographs
and electronic images (including moving images) that may be taken during the event by or on behalf of the
Promoter, or with permission of the Promoter. All such images are the property of the Promoter and will only
be used in accordance with the Motorcycling Australia Member Protection Policy and for the purposes of
promotional or other purposes without further consent being required.
21. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Full canteen and bar will be running. Please obey promoter’s instructions as to parking.
