GRE/GMAT Math Workbook, Third Edition Please note the following corrections: Book Pages page 324, Question 17, Practice Test 1 Corrections Question stem should begin with the following statement: Every student graduating from Burgerville College is either a 4-year student or a transfer student. page 333, Answer 17, Practice Test 1 The answer is Choice 2. Paragraph 2 should read as follows: If we let x be the number of 4-year students graduating with honors, then the number of transfer students graduating with honors must be 50 percent greater than x; in other words, x plus 0.5x, which is 1.5x. The total number of students who graduate with honors is 1.5x plus x equals 2.5x. Then the fraction of students who graduate with honors who are transfer students is 1.5x divided by 2.5x equals 1.5 divided by 2.5. There is no need to simplify this fraction. Statement (2) is sufficient.
