Helmbrecht to be next ENISA Executive Director The European Network and Information Security Agency, ENISA, has announced the selection of Udo Helmbrecht as its next Executive Director. The announcement was made by ENISA’s current Executive Director, Andrea Pirotti, who Helmbrecht replaces. Helmbrecht is presently working as President of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). He presented himself to the European Parliament, the ITRE Committee (Committee on Industry, on 16 April. He replaces Antonios Papaioannou. Garat Caramé had been Commander of the Spanish 41 squadron of frigates since June 2007. EU NAVFOR Somalia is an EU autonomous operation conducted under the European Security and Defence Policy. It is the first naval operation launched by the EU.
