TITLE:                     PRODUCT MANAGER
DEPT.:                     MARKETING
REPORTS TO:                V.P. MARKETING
STATUS:                    EXEMPT
LABOR GRADE:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Manager will be responsible for the product development, maintenance and marketing support for one
or more product categories. This individual will develop and implement strategic initiatives and marketing plans for
existing as well as new products that are consistent with company sales/profit objectives. The Product Manager will
be given full P&L responsibility for their product category and manage all aspects of product lifecycles from
introduction to maturity and exit strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.   Monitor and analyze market trends in order to capitalize on new product and business opportunities.
2.   Manage all aspects of new product development; define product specifications, profitability analysis, market
     feedback, launch strategy and market communication support.
3.   P&L accountability for a range of products – developing sales strategies to meet the sales and margin budgets
     for defined products.
4.   Provide content for all marketing communication activities, including Internet, Catalog, PR, Trade Shows,
     P.O.P., Packaging, etc.
5.   Develop and maintain yearly/monthly sales forecasts for specific product categories.
6.   Drive product positioning, pricing and sales channel strategy.
7.   Develop sales training material for retailers, sales reps and company associates.
8.   Maintain ongoing competitive and market analysis, performing market research (quantitative and qualitative)
     when necessary.
9.   Communicate ongoing product and competitive developments to all sales reps. and company associates.
10. Create and implement sales promotions by working closely with the Sales and Marketing Communication
    teams.
11. Other functions as required and assigned by the supervisor.


RECOMMENDED POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1.   5+ years experience in product marketing, with successful experience in developing and launching new
     products.
2.   B.A or B.S. degree
3.   Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
4.   Excellent analytical skills (database management experience a plus).
5.   Working knowledge of ERP systems.
6.   Experience with all facets of marketing communication including, advertising, promotion, P.O.P., PR etc.
7.   Highly organized and detail oriented.
