Occupational Summary
The Sheet Metal Worker will work under the direction of the Department Supervisor in
the fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of sheet metal equipment, products and
structures. This is a safety sensitive position, and as such requires pre-employment and
pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years sheet metal-related work experience on construction sites. The
successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the sheet metal trade.
Knowledge of the modular building industry is an asset. Apprentices are encouraged to
apply.

Qualifications:
Work requires an education background normally equivalent to high school, with sheet
metal training at an accredited university or college. Practical knowledge of the
application of sheet metal techniques and methods normally acquired through training
taken in a sheet metal apprenticeship is required. The successful candidate will
demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills. This
individual must be able to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet
deadlines. The ability to work independently and as a team member is essential. This
position is an active and all-encompassing one, so applicants should be able to safely
and comfortably carry out physically involved activities.
