							           Memorandum of Understanding for Participating Facilities

Education, Training and Research Associates (ETR) and the National Partnership for
Juvenile Services (NPJS) are under contract with the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention to reduce HIV risk behavior in youth by providing effective HIV prevention
strategies and trainings nationwide for professionals in a variety of juvenile justice settings.
This Memorandum of Understanding outlines the commitment of both ETR Associates and
the facility/organization receiving the Survive Outside training.

ETR Associates will:
        Provide a free training and HIV prevention/intervention materials to the
         facility participating in the Survive Outside training.
        Be available for capacity building assistance following the training to assist
         participating facilities with additional questions regarding the
         implementation of the HIV prevention intervention in their own facility.
        Make a follow-up call or send a survey at six months and a year following
         the training to the participating facility to gather data on the facility’s
         implementation of the HIV prevention intervention.

        Implementing the HIV prevention intervention at least two times in the
         year following the training provided by ETR.
        Documenting the number of youth exposed to the HIV prevention
         intervention.
        Documenting adaptations of the HIV prevention intervention made while
         conducting the intervention in their own facility.
