RE: Sponsorship Assistance to attend World Triathlon Championships in Lausanne Switzerland
on September 2, 2006

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to request your support in helping me attend the 2006 World Triathlon
Championships in Lausanne Switzerland in early September.

A relative newcomer to the sport of Triathlon, I have qualified for the Canadian Age-Group
National Team. Unfortunately these positions are dependant on self-funding. I am currently
seeking to raise the funds necessary for these World Championships and to further my training.

I started competing in triathlons only one year ago, and making the National Team this year is a
major accomplishment. I rode a borrowed bike at the National Championships in Brampton, and
have since been able to secure sponsorship with Blue Bikes who have provided me with a new
race bike at a discounted cost.

I am looking for the funds to assist in my trip to Switzerland (approximately $3000) and to
provide me with the much-needed financial assistance to continue training.

Having the opportunity to race at the World Triathlon Championships will help me garner the
experience I need to move up the Canadian Triathlon rankings and assist me in attaining my goal
of making the 2008 Olympic Triathlon Team.

Any support you might be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. I would be happy to meet
with you and further discuss funding options as well as methods for which I can further promote
your business and show my appreciation.

I have attached an athlete profile as well as some recent news clippings highlighting my
commitment and dedication to trying to achieve the best.

Thank you for your time and consideration as well as your support as I represent Canada and
Sudbury on the international stage.

Yours in sport;

Buddy Green
