Pacific Basin Area EQIP 2006 COST LISTS INSTRUCTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS
This workbook contains the individual EQIP FY2006 Cost Lists for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) and Guam. Tabs are labeled for each island or island group. The cost list for CNMI, or Guam can be viewed by selecting the appropriate tab for the desired island or island group. Highlighted practices reflect new practice, component, or change in unit cost. Most of the changes are associated with the promotion of EQIP "At Risk" species as a Pacific Basin Area resource concern in FY2006. Eligible WHIP practices and/or components were merged into the EQIP Cost Lists to meet potential EQIP FY2006 contracting needs to address this resource concern. Use Exclusion is not an eligible FY2006 practice for EQIP or WHIP. Recreation Trails and Walkways are eligible for WHIP cost share only. Pond was added as an eligible WHIP cost share practice with stipulation primary purpose is to provide water for wildlife.

Pacific Basin Area minimum requirement to meet definition of an irrigation system is: Farmer will have legal water meter in place on the farm with a hose or drip system in use and a riser(s) in or near at least one production agricultural field or orchard and will self certify irrigation history on Producer Self Certification of Irrigation History sheet.
