Reports from Standing Committee Chairs: Annual Meeting Chair Yolanda King See written report. Embassy Suites will not charge for the room as long as we spend $1800 for food. Room rate is $89/night. Asked Tinka to add a quick notice to the website to solicit materials for the Archive. Web Page Tinka Gammel Will be posting the annual meeting notice this week. Still working to put EYH pictures out there, will also put the careers page out there. Membership Dana Roberson We have 72 members who will need to renew in October 2005. Will be sending out membership renewal notices. LAWIS lunch speaker, Peggy Hellweg, notified us of ABQ Seismology lab adding a new woman to the staff. Tinka will get the name to Dana to recruit. Publicity Kim Linder Kim is stepping down-she will finish her term. Will let us know her schedule. There is some publicity in Los Alamos due to the Bradbury sponsoring the lunch time talks for LAWIS. Science Fair Mercedes Agogino No report. Tinka will send the science fair winners invitations to come to the annual meeting. Also will invite the American Indian science fair folks. Expanding Your Horizons: State Dana Roberson Albuquerque (non-Board position) Yolanda King LeeAnne Brasure is going to chair the Central EYH. Keynote will be a Honeywell executive. Lunch talks are continuing. There is a northern NM woman pilots group who is interested in supporting EYH. Southern Chapter—how to inspire a group to rejuvenate that chapter. Old Business: None. New Business: Diane Albert has sent Yolanda a request for expenses to support her attendance at a conference. Discussion ended with consensus on not providing these funds.
