Everyday experiences lead us to believe that time flows in one direction--always forward.
And, the Second Law of Thermodynamics tells us that the tendency of the universe is
toward greater entropy or disorder. This is why we never see a broken cup spontaneously
reassemble into its original, unbroken form. The idea of absolute time and an absolute
now is strictly a classical physics notion, courtesy of Sir Isaac Newton. However, when
we actually examine how the future and the past can combine together to create that
which we observe then we encounter the process by which our classical notions of
absolute time and absolute now stem from. Nature’s arrow of time is predetermined in
many ways by quantum effects to appear as if it was composed of absolute time and
absolute nows. But at its core it is an illusion that is framed upon dual arrows of time.
From this perspective real absolute time and absolute now are composed of the past and
the future and every now becomes a predetermining part of every future now which in
turn controls the past now. If there really is any absolute that absolute is that everything
about existence is interconnected. The real fabric of time and space is in the end
determined by a fabric woven by every action that ever has existed and ever will exist.
That fabric then is woven by connections more than anything else.
