RE: Budget Revision Request
Dear Rental Subsidy Landlord:
The Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund is pleased to work with landlords to
provide safe and affordable housing to low-income families. Our mandate is to assist
families who make less than 30% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
Contract Revision Request should be completed when seeking a budget revision. When
we signed our Agreement with you, we agreed on the rents you would be charging and
the rental subsidies we could support. Our understanding is that you now are seeking a
change in the rent rates.
All changes to the Agreement you signed must be approved by the Trust Fund board of
directors. We respectfully request that you submit the enclosed worksheet and identify
the changes in rent. We would appreciate a brief explanation as to the reason(s) for the
In order to fairly evaluate the request for a budget revision, we are seeking information
regarding the cost of the housing, as well as the ability of tenant’s to pay.
Once we receive this information, we will submit your request to the Trust Fund
Allocations Committee and Board of Directors for review. The Allocations Committee
meets on the 1st Thursday of the new month. In order to be on the agenda, we will need
the completed request by the 25th day of the current month.

Reminder: The Trust Fund is prohibited from providing rental subsidies for persons
making over 30% AMI. It is imperative that you complete your Income Verification prior
to signing leases.
