JAR-FCL COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENCE (AEROPLANE) (RESTRICTED) – APPLICATION

                                                      GUIDANCE

General Guidance

1)     Commercial Pilot Licences are issued by the Civil Aviation Authority in accordance with the provisions of the Air Navigation Order, for
       the time being in force. All applicants are strongly advised to read JAR-FCL 1 Subpart D, which describes in detail the requirements for
       the grant of a JAR-FCL Commercial Pilot Licence (Aeroplane) and any relevant Aeronautical Information Circulars before completing this
       form.
       Note: JAR-FCL CPL(A) (Restricted) licences are issued in accordance with AIC 47/2000.

2)     Sections 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10 must be completed by all applicants personally.

       Section 7 should be completed by the Head of Training as appropriate.

Section 11 – Submission Instructions

The following documentation should be enclosed. Please note that failure to submit all of the required documentation may lead to a delay in
the processing of your application.

i)     Form FCL 508 (SRG\1106) ‘Flight Radio Telephony Operator’s Licence – Grant or Renewal Application’.

       •    Existing holders of a UK R/T licence do not need to submit this form again.

ii)    Form LST/LPC SPA/MPA (SRG\1119)

       •    Applies to UK BCPL (Unrestricted) holders only.

iii)   Valid UK JAR-FCL Class One Medical Certificate. Holders of a JAR-FCL Class One Medical Certificate issued by another JAA Member
       State should either contact the CAA Aeromedical Centre at Gatwick or refer to the CAA website www.caa.co.uk for details on
       acceptability and mutual recognition.

       •    Validity must be sufficient to cover the anticipated licence issue date.

iv)    Evidence of Identity

       •    Original Passport or Birth Certificate as Evidence of Identity (certified copies by the UK training provider are acceptable).
            Please note:- Existing holders of a UK Professional Flight Crew Licence or holders of any UK-JAR-FCL Pilot licence can ignore this
            requirement

       •    Computerised logbooks are acceptable, provided that these are submitted in hard copy paper format and contain the relevant
            information (as specified in the Air Navigation Order Article 28) with each page certified as true and signed by the applicant

       •    All original Flying Logbooks.

vi)    All original non-JAA licences

       •    Temporary Airman Certificates are not acceptable.
       •    Include all non-JAA Medical Certificates where issued as separate documents.
