NEW YORK--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Booz & Company announced that Senior Partner Niko Canner
was honored with a selection to the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders (YGL) for 2011. Canner is
one of 190 young leaders from around the world recognized this year for their professional accomplishments,
commitment to society, and potential to contribute to shaping the future of the world.
Drawn from a pool of almost 5,000 candidates, the Young Global Leaders 2011 were chosen by a selection
committee chaired by Queen Rania of Jordan. The new class represents 65 countries and all sectors of society:
business, civil society, social entrepreneurs, politics and government, arts and culture, and opinion and media.
As a Senior Partner in Booz & Company’s Organization and Change Leadership practice in New York, Canner has
built a global reputation as an expert on the strategic and organizational questions that define the long-term evolution
of large enterprises.
Canner has worked most extensively with clients in the healthcare, financial services, technology, and professional
services industries. As co-founder and Managing Partner of Katzenbach Partners LLC, prior to the firm’s
combination with Booz & Company, he led Katzenbach Partners as the firm grew organically over a decade to 100
consultants across four offices.
On being named a Young Global Leader, Canner said: “This is formative moment in history, a time when leaders
need to reach across the boundaries that divide fields of knowledge, political positions, and national boundaries. The
Young Global Leaders community creates a forum to do just this. I am honored to be part of it.”
Named in 2008 one of 10 “new gurus” by Fortune magazine, Canner is frequently quoted as a thought leader on
management and business strategy in national business publications.
World Economic Forum Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab launched the Young Global Leaders
group in 2004. They engage in the community, integrating into Forum events and organizing events of their own, as
well as starting and leading a number of innovative initiatives and task forces. This newest class will meet in
September at an Annual Summit, in Dalian, People’s Republic of China.
