We hereby invite representatives of the media to cover the 4th World Water Forum, which will be
held in Mexico City from March 16th to 22nd, 2006.

The aim of the Forum is to foster the participation of and dialogue between various stakeholders,
including governments, civil society organizations and the scientific and academic communities, so
as to promote sustainable policies for worldwide water management, so as to create awareness of
water-related problems, motivate commitment at the highest level for their solution, and thus
promote better management of water resources at local, regional, national and international levels.

The representatives of the media interested in being accredited to cover the Forum should enter the

It is important to send the original assignation letter, with a copy of your current official identification.

We kindly inform you that your application will only be processed once the assignation letter and the
online application have been received. You will then receive an e-mail with your confirmation code,
               which will be used to pick up your accreditation badge in Mexico City.

                   4th World Water Forum Media Accreditation Criteria

Any media applying for accreditation will need to provide supporting documents proving that they
represent a legitimate media outlet. Accredited media representatives attending any event
organized by the 4th World Water Forum, as well as the Ministerial Conference, will have to carry
out journalistic activities only.

Accreditation will be accepted only after the applicant has proven that he/she has working
experience in journalism.

Every application will be examined separately and decisions made by the Press Accreditation Office
will be final.

Supporting documents required:

    •   Letter of accreditation with the letterhead of the media outlet signed by the director, the
        chief editor, or the chief of information. It must include the applicant’s full name (first,
        middle and last name) and his/her position. (Example).

    •   Independent TV networks are required to submit a letter of accreditation of the media
        intending to broadcast its programs.

   •    The Web publication must be part of a registered media outlet with a physical, specific, and
        verifiable address and telephone number.


        The Press Accreditation Office reserves the right to deny or withdraw the
        accreditation of any member misusing press credentials conferred upon them.
