A GUIDE FOR IVY TECH TRANSFER STUDENTS
TAKE YOUR IVY TECH DEGREE TO A NEW LEVEL

E arning a four-year undergraduate degree in business
can open new career doors for any professional,
especially those who have successfully completed an
associate business degree at Ivy Tech Community College-
Central Indiana. Consider these facts about job opportunities
and earnings for graduates with four-year degrees:

T According to WorldWideLearn, an online directory
of education, workers with bachelor’s degrees can
expect to earn at least $15,000 more per year than
  those with associate’s degrees.

T Comparing wages earned during the working life of
an adult, the U.S. Census Bureau reports those with
bachelor’s degrees earn about $2.1 million, while
associate’s degree holders earn $1.6 million.

T The job market for business professionals is very
promising, especially for accountants. The market
shortfall for accountants is expected to continue
  through 2014.

T Forty-three percent of jobs in financial fields require
  at least a bachelor’s degree.
You can build upon your Ivy Tech associate’s degree or
courses by enrolling in the Kelley School of Business
Indianapolis. Please note that transfer is possible with or
without a degree. A framework for transfer of credits, often
referred to as an articulation agreement, exists between Ivy
Tech and Kelley, making enrollment easier for Ivy Tech
transfer students.

Because there are a variety of different paths Ivy Tech
students can take to attend Kelley, Kelley Indianapolis has
dedicated a member of its Office of Advising staff to work
individually with Ivy Tech students on enrollment issues
and to answer questions that may arise during the transfer
and enrollment process.
“ Transferring to Kelley was convenient.
So much of my Ivy Tech education

transferred that I was able to get

started right away on my higher level

  courses for my bachelor’s degree.
                                                           ”
—Ariel Cember, CIS major, Kelley School of Business
               and Ivy Tech transfer student
