									   The Office of the Assembly is the administrative arm of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Our mandate is to
                   provide non-partisan support services to all Members of Provincial Parliament.

                Senior Developer – Planning & Business Solutions
                                 Legislative Information Systems Branch
                                     6 Month Contract/ Secondment

Join the challenging team-oriented environment of IT professionals at the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. As
part of a highly engaged team, you will apply your analytical, design, and development skills to Legislative
Information Systems projects in a non-partisan manner. Reporting to the Manager, Planning & Business
Solutions your assignments will include analysis, database and application development and integration, system
implementation and support.
Your proven technical skills are complemented by a university degree or equivalent education/experience, and
demonstrated experience in delivering IT services in a team environment. You have the ability to communicate
effectively with technical and non-technical clients and colleagues.
You have extensive experience in application design and development, together with a deep background in
relational databases, particularly Oracle. Your technical profile includes AJAX, EJB, Oracle 10g, JDeveloper,
J2EE / JSP, JSF, and related tools, coupled with a strong interest in emerging web development technologies.
Your skill set also includes Web Services, as well as some exposure to Oracle Forms and Reports. You have
experience with Agile methods, ideally as part of a Scrum team. Knowledge of Test Driven Development and
software such as JUnit would also be an asset. You bring knowledge of the Legislative Assembly, combined
with an interest in the Parliamentary process.
This background, combined with your excellent interpersonal skills and your proven ability to work as part of a
team, will allow you to contribute to the Branch’s commitment of creating effective working relationships with
clients, and providing solutions of high value and quality. The annual salary range for this position is $58,219 -
