     Introduction
The Quidway WA1006E is a wireless access point (AP) device, used to build a wireless environment in places such as
offices, meeting rooms, stadiums, conference centres, hotels, coffeehouses, airports, etc. It delivers the freedom to con-
figure your network your way-no cabling restrictions an longer.
The Quidway WA1006E is compliant with IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g standards. It offers a wireless access rate up
to 54Mbps, which can be self-adaptive to the environmental conditions. As a wireless AP device, it supports functions like
roaming, ESSID, WEP, WPA and AES. It is manageable with network management platforms that use Simple Network
Management Protocol or Huawei proprietary HGMP protocol.

Excellent Compliance to Network Standards: The WA1006E supports various wired and wireless standards,
including IEEE802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3af and Wi-Fi WPA;
For automatic rate detection, the WA1006E supports 1Mbps / 2Mbps / 5.5 Mbps / 11 Mbps for IEEE802.11b, supports 6
Mbps / 9 Mbps / 12 Mbps / 18 Mbps / 24 Mbps / 36 Mbps / 48 Mbps / 54 Mbps for IEEE 802.11g;
The WA1006E supports switchover between APs. It supports user number based and traffic based load balancing. It also
supports AP based performance monitoring, including displaying statistics of user list, traffic, and so on.

Outstanding Network and User Security: The WA1006E supports 64/128/152-bit Enhanced Dynamic Keying
WEP encryption. It supports dynamic encryption mechanism Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA). Its software can be upgraded

to support AES (TBD/CCM) for enhanced security;
The WA1006E supports ESSID hiding to protect user connections from being hijacked;
The WA1006E supports Publicly Security Packet Forwarding (PSPF) to impiement L2 user isolation, supports User Iden-
tification Management Function (UIMF) to impiement MAC address filtration of WAN interfaces, and supports MAC ad-
dress filtration based ACL;
The WA1006E supports WPA (TKIP), 802.1x (EAP-SIM, EAP-MD5, PEAP, EAP-TLS and TTLS) local authentication,

RADIUS Client and DHCP Server;
The WA1006E has a "Virtual AP" capability to simultaneously define four ESSIDs to configure different WIFI networks in
the same AP equipment, and supports 4 VLANs binding with the 4 ESSIDs, and no limitation to pass through VLANs in
PTP or PTMP mode.

Flexible Wireless Features: The WA1006E supports manual setting of working carrier frequency and automatic
channel selection;
The WA1006E supports 100mW output power with multiple tuneable levels. It supports standard reverse SMA interface to
connect external antenna;
The WA1006E features outstanding anti-multipath fading thanks to advanced modulation technology, 2.4G band-pass
filtering technology and dipole antenna it adopts.

Flexible Networking Modes: The WA1006E supports WDS (PTP, PTMP and Repeater) working mode and stan-
dard WLAN networking.

Easy Installation and Maintenance: The WA1006E supports POE (-48V remote feeding, with distance up to
200 meters) and local feeding to facilitate device installation;
The WA1006E supports link aggregation and watchdog;
The WA1006E supports SNMP (V1/V2/V3), Trap, Web and Telnet management for configuration, troubleshooting and
resetting. It also supports Huawei proprietary HGMP management. It saves management IP addresses and enhances
management ability;
The WA1006E supports multiple installation modes, firmware remote upgrade and upload/download of configuration files.

WDS Wireless Bridge

Description: Wireless bridge is for the use of wireless (microwave) long distances of data transmission between point-to-point nets interconnected design.
