CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Endeca Technologies, Inc.,a search and business
intelligence (BI) company, today announced that CEO Steve Papa is joining Governor Deval Patrick along with a
coalition of state officials and business leaders on the Massachusetts Innovation Economy Partnership Mission 2011
to Israel and the United Kingdom. The coalition is exploring growth opportunities within the Commonwealth’s
innovation-based industries – technology, life sciences, clean energy and financial services – and areas of common
interest between the state’s established and emerging partners in Israel and the UK.
“I’m happy to have Steve Papa of Endeca join our great coalition of leaders on this trade mission,” said Governor
Patrick. “Endeca is at the forefront of our innovation economy, and we know Papa’s expertise will go a long way
towards forging lasting economic ties and partnerships between Massachusetts, Israel and the UK.”
As a leader in the search and BI industry, Endeca will further the mission’s goals of identifying new job and
economic development opportunities. During the trip, Papa will take part in roundtables, company visits and
meetings with government and business officials with Governor Patrick and the delegation in Tel Aviv, Haifa,
Jerusalem. Endeca’s General Counsel John Kelleher will join the Governor and delegates in London and Cambridge.
“I’m honored to join the Governor and the rest of the delegation on this trade mission,” said Steve Papa. “We are
very familiar with innovation at Endeca as we have brought key inventions such as Guided Navigation® and the
fusing of search and BI to the marketplace. We look forward to expanding our existing work headquartered in
Richmond, UK, and growing our business in Europe generally, as well as explore new opportunities in Israel.”
The Massachusetts delegation arrived in Israel on March 7, and will depart the United Kingdom on March 17 to
return to Boston.
