2 Heat pump installation in JUMESCO Finland Non Residential Sector Fuel switching – Electricity + Savisaari is a garden producing vegetables and plants for the town of Kuopio. Two
two greenhouses geothermal greenhouses of the garden were heated by electricity and it was found that electricity
consumption could be halved by installing heat pumps. The bigger pumps collect heat
from a nearby lake and the smaller one from a green close to the garden. This activity
helped not only to save energy, but to reduce emission of GHG as well.

the street lighting system Municipality, Global Environmental investment - Electricity Gabrovo is a component of the project "Energy Efficiency Strategy to Mitigate GHG
FacilityGEF/UNDP, National Emissions. The project included energy audit of the existing street lighting system,
Environmental Protection Fund identifying the technical parameters of the current condition and development of a baseline
(NEPF), Power Distribution Company, scenario.The project implementation resulted in the installation of NVSL lighting fixtures
Gabrovo (whose power was selected according to the different categories of streets) by the local
Electricity Distribution Company.
6 Public lightning technology E.S.Co. Tuscia Italy Public Lightning Efficiency and renovation E.S.Co. Provinciale Tuscia spa is a public company founded by Province of Viterbo that
substitution investment - Electricity carried out the Public Lighting projects based on replacement of old lighting with new
energy saving solutions. The activity was based on an Energy Service Contract in
conjunction with Third Party Financing. Investment costs were borne entirely by E.S.Co
Tuscia and are repaid through the energy savings generated during the time period
covered with the contract (about 12 years).
7 Public lightning technology City of Salzburg Austria Public Lightning Renovation investment – The project includes energy savings in the lighting of the old part of Salzburg city. The
substitution Electricity project activity includes two main areas: the floodlighting for the historic buildings and the
street lighting, which is primarily for ensuring the safety of road users. Energy saving
activities undertaken led to the reduction of energy and maintenance costs also increasing
road safety.
