CLASS INFORMATION
1. All classes will be conducted by the rules of the WIWHA/NHSC Rule Book and the TWHBEA Versatility Rule
Book.
2. For specific rules or class descriptions, please refer to the WIWHA/NHSC Rule Book and the TWHBEA
Versatility Rule Book, which will be available at the show office. NHSC Rule Books are $10.00 and TWHBEA
Versatility Rule Books are free.
3. Management reserves the right to cancel any class that has less than 3 horses entered, or combine Adult and
Youth classes if there are less than 3 horses entered.
4. Adult classes are for persons 18 years of age or older as of December 31, 2008, and Youth Classes are for
persons 17 years of age or younger as of December 31, 2007. Youth are not allowed in Adult Classes. Classes
that do not stipulate Adult or Youth are open for all ages. Youth 17 & under are eligible to show mares and
geldings only.
5. Barefoot horses may be shown. However, the judge must disqualify lame or tender footed horses.
6. Pads, hoof bands and welded clips are prohibited. Horses must be plain shod and no action devices shall be
used on a pleasure horse on the show grounds.
7. Braids shall be worn in English and halter classes, but are prohibited in Western classes.
8. Martingales and tie downs are prohibited. (Exception: TWH over Fences, Barrels and Pole Bending classes.)
9. A bosal may be used in Poles, Barrels, Trail or Reining classes.
10. Approved “leg protection” devices such as splint boots, skid boots, polo wrap or non weighted rubber bell boots
are accepted as proper leg protection in TWH over Fences, Barrels, Poles, Reining, Obstacle Trail and Western
Riding classes.
11. Equipment approved for either English or Western class is approved for Obstacle Trail classes, but not a
combination thereof.
12. In timed events and/or individually worked classes such as barrels, poles, western riding, trail, etc. a particular
horse counts as one entry. The only time a horse can be entered in a timed event or trail class with two different
riders is if the class is an open class and one of the riders is an adult and the other is a youth exhibitor. This is
allowed only if there is no other class for the adult or youth exhibitor.
13. Gate holds (3 minute maximum) will be granted for just cause upon notification of the In-Gate announcer.
14. TWH Pleasure and TWH classes are open to all flatshod TWH (Plantation, Lite Shod, Trail Pleasure and
Country Pleasure). All other classes are open to all breeds of horses.
15. TWH 1st Year Showing H&R is open to the Horse and Rider in their First Year of showing.

16.Novice classes are for riders or horses who have never won a blue ribbon in that
class or event.
17. Classes not noted English or Western can be either.
18. In Hand Trail and Showmanship is in a halter, no bridle.
ENTRY INFORMATION
1. Entries must be postmarked and paid by the closing date of Tuesday, September 10, 2007.
2. The Show Office will be checking Registration Papers on all horses shown at this show, so bring
your papers. If papers are mailed in with entry form please make sure that both sides of the papers
are copied, so that the registered owner’s name is shown, besides the name and number of the horse.
All horses must be registered with the TWHBEA and must be entered under their registered name and
owner’s name. If the horse is being leased, please bring your lease agreement.
3. Current amateur cards (WIWHA or WHOA) must be presented by all amateur participants, and
WIWHA Youth cards must be presented by all youth participants. WIWHA Amateur cards are
$20.00, WIWHA Youth cards are free and both will be available at the Show Office. If you are not an
amateur or a youth, then you must present your Trainer’s card. You can purchase a Trainers card
through the NWWHTA.
4. The trainer of the horse must sign all entries. If you are the owner and also do your own training, then
sign as owner and trainer.
5. Please list all riders for horse on the entry form.
6. To receive pre-entry refunds, you will need a copy of the veterinarian’s certificate specifying exact
nature.
7. Persons failing to pay their bills at the show will be charged a $30.00 service fee. If the account is not
settled after billing, it will be reported to WIWHA for collection. If not resolved, suspension will
result and names will be sent to NHSC. Those on suspension will not be allowed to show at WIWHA
or NHSC affiliated shows. A $30.00 service charged will be assessed for any NSF checks.
8. RV Fees must be paid for every motor home, camper or horse trailer that is used as sleeping
accommodations.

Gaming
1. Egg & Spoon – Riders perform various gaits and movements while balancing an egg in
the spoon. The last rider to be carrying the egg is the winner.
2. Ride-A-Buck – Rider rides bareback with a dollar bill placed under the leg of the rider
by the show official. When rider loses dollar bill, they are out. The last rider to still
have the dollar bill tucked under their leg is the winner and also gets to keep all of the
dollar bills lost by the other riders.
3. Phone Book - Contestant will ride to far side of arena and look up a given name in the
phone book, rip the page out of the phone book and return the page to the finish line.
This is a timed event.
4. Musical Hula Hoop – Musical chairs for horses and riders.

in Salem, Oregon. Signer certifies that the above-named horse is eligible for classes entered and that each
entry is undertaken at signer’s risk. Signer further agrees to abide by all WIWHA bylaws and rules, as well as
all local and show facility rules. No horse number will be distributed until this form is filled out and signed.
If the owner is the trainer, the owner must sign as trainer and owner. Paperwork for a leased horse must be
