EXPARTE: Magistrate Glatt does not hold Ex Parte Hearings.
SCHEDULING HEARINGS: Please refer to the Judicial Automated
Calendaring System (JACS) on the court’s web site at www.ninthcircuit.org
for available hearing time. Once a hearing date/time is coordinated, please
email the Magistrate Assistant (MA) at firstname.lastname@example.org to secure that
date/time. The MA will return your email to confirm the hearing and obtain
any other information needed. When sending an email for a hearing please
provide the case number, style of case, names of all attorneys, or parties if
pro se, the matter(s) to be heard, and the requested date and time of the
hearing. Once a hearing has been secured by return email the following forms
will need to be submitted: Order of Referral - this form can be found at
www.ninthcircuit.org/programs and services/attorneys/information-court
forms/civil magistrate court forms/order of referral. Please add the style of the
case and the full certificate of service, after which please email it to the MA at
email@example.com; Consent and Stipulation – this Form can be found at
www.ninthcircuit.org/programs and services/information-court forms/civil
magistrate court forms/consent to referral to civil magistrate. Please add the
style of the case and then circulate it to be signed by all counsel on the case,
after which please fax it to 407-835-5104. If necessary, this form may be
signed by all attorneys/parties immediately before the hearing). These forms
will only need to be done for the initial hearing before Magistrate Glatt.
TELEPHONE HEARINGS: Magistrate Glatt allows out-of-town attorneys
to appear by telephone if the hearing is set up as a telephone hearing with the
MA in advance. The attorney is required to either 1) call 407-836-2210 at the
time of the hearing (to be transferred to the hearing room) or 2) provide the
MA with a toll free number, or a phone number, which may be called collect
from the hearing room. If the latter, the attorney is to notify his/her staff that
Magistrate Glatt will be calling in order to accept the call and be put through
to the attorney. If more than one attorney needs to appear by phone, a
conference call must be arranged by counsel.

PROPOSED REPORT: 2 sets of stamped, pre-addressed envelopes and a
sufficient number of copies of the Report for conforming must be provided to
the Court for mailing to all attorneys/parties, including pro se litigants. (The
second set of envelopes is for mailing the “Order on Report”). All Reports
should be titled REPORT OF GENERAL MAGISTRATE, and in place of
the usual “Ordered and Adjudged” language please use “Found and
Recommended”. Please include the date the hearing was held in the first
paragraph of the Report.

DOCUMENT IS GENERATED INTERNALLY AND PROVIDED TO
THE PRESDING CIRCUIT JUDGE AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME.
If you want to know if a specific report has been signed by the Magistrate,
please call the Clerk’s office first to see if it has been docketed. Due to the
amount of paperwork that is processed on a daily basis it is not possible for
the MA to know if a specific report has been entered.
