Senior Manager – Grants Management
The overall role and responsibility of the Senior Manager of Grants Management position is to
provide cradle-to-grave grant administration in implementation, execution, and close-out
IntraHealth’s prime cooperative agreements, grants and subagreements. This position works
closely with the members of the contracts, programs, program development, and finance teams
to ensure donor, regulatory, and contractual compliance. The Senior Manager of Grants
Management will report directly to Director of Contracts, Grants, and Procurement.
Specific responsibilities will include the following:
Preparation, submission, and negotiation of federal, non-federal, and international
grants, cooperative agreements, subawards, service agreements and modifications
Research and interpretation of OMB Circulars A-110, A-122, and A-133, and USAID ADS
303 and other donor regulations;
Development and maintenance of acquisition and assistance templates/formats and
other guidance for use by program staff;
Analyze grant and agreement requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to
ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and
In concert with the contracts and grants staff, review, improve and develop policies and
procedures for the Contracts, Grants, and Procurement unit;
Provide training and guidance to both headquarters and field staff in donor rules and
Provide technical assistance to staff in implementing and complying with administrative
procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and minimize risk exposure to the

up to close-out;
Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with external and internal
Travel to client and IntraHealth’s country field offices as necessary; and
Other duties as assigned.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business. Advance degree
Eight to ten years of directly related cradle-to-grave cooperative agreement, grants, and
contractual work experience.
Must have USAID and /or CDC experience working in an international grant environment.
Proven expert knowledge in federal grant regulations, OMB circulars, other US grant
regulations and applicable international laws.
Demonstrated experience to supervise, mentor, and develop entry to mid-level grant and
Highly skilled in oral presentation and written communication.
Excellent internal and external negotiation skills.
Ability to travel at least twice a year internationally.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
